Two year old Nantucket Flemish-style red aged on whole sour cherries for 10 months. This is similar to sipping the idea of what a "cherry" is... UNREAL.

Celebrating Running the 2015 USMC Marathon and Beer #5200! Great amber and ruby tinted colour with a very fast-dying tan head, just like soda. Aroma of alcohol, oak, grain, sour brett, sour grapes and of course - cherries, cherries and more cherries. Medium-bodied; Assertive sour cherry flavour at first with a great mouth-watering sour quality followed by some nice malt, sustained sweetness from the fruit and a light oaky and dry finish at the end. Aftertaste shows a bunch of sour qualities, some funk from brett and the spontaneous fermentation and a lot of cherry sweetness that goes very well with just about everything. Overall, a great beer - definitely worth trying if you can find this, and definitely worth keeping for a while - I’ll try to get my hands on several of these, just to age them; A truly wonderful beer, especially for people who like the style, including myself! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 02-June-2014 for US$19,99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-October-2015. Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber with no real head and no lacing. Aroma is very cherry, some oak and tobacco notes. Flavor is light tart, a bit of residual sweetness, cherries are dominant with some oak. Medium body, flat - no real carbonation left. A bit watery in the mouth.

Bottle, sampled with Dennoman. Pours clear reddish light amber, no head, totally flat. Aroma is quite terpentine alike and artificial cherry aromas. Light body, kirsh alike balance between sweetness and alcohol, bland flavour. Not my type of fruit beer. At all.

[bottle from Bier Cellar] Slight pickle juice and balsamic vinegar aroma with black cherries, white grape, and sweet cranberry. Perhaps a faint vanilla note as well. Slightly hazy ruby under a quickly dropping off-white and light pink fizz that leaves a collar with tight beading. Flavour is a refreshing, mouth-puckering sour cherry and lemon with some light woody accents. Light body, medium to high carbonation, mouth watering finish.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown 2013 bottle corked and capped poured into a glass. Clear red with small off-white head. Aroma is nice strong sour, medium body, low/medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is sour, tart cherries, lemons, some oak, and long acidic finish. Complex, pretty easy to drink (although I understand this would be too sour for some), really flavorful, really enjoy this one.

750 mL bottle, shared with some buds. Deep red pour, small ring of lacing. Definitely worth noting that this is described as a Flemish Red and not a kriek, as it is dark and acidic as all get out. Definite acetic red wine vinegar mixing with deep rich cherry flavor and oaken tannin. A bit unbalanced, but I’m cool with it.

At dark suds. Nice red color, heavy cherry nose. Big cherry up front, nothing but acetic acid in the finish. Vinegar kills this for me.

Bottle shared by Radarsock. Thanks, Andrew! Pours orange red with an off white head. Aroma is dark cherry, acetic. Taste is slighly sweet cherry up front, leading to strong lemon cherry tart. Lingering pucker.
