3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle, from Luke’s Liquors, 10/04/11. Good aroma, sour. Tart. Fruity. Cherry, grape, oak. Clean brownish orange color, small head, no lace 1st pour, better head, that faded quick, still no lace 2 pour. Sour flavor. Light body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, tart finish. Good brew, pretty tasty. just a tad short of being great. still good to sniff and taste....bit pricey, like 23 bucks, for the bottle, but that’s the path I’ve chosen....

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 A: Medium red-brown body, pinkish-white one cm head. Quickly receded, spotty lacing.
S: Tart cherries, earthy-oak, some vinous notes.
T: Like the nose, there is a bit of oak and vinous notes, but the cherries have taken a serious step back. Tartness is still there, but the depth of flavor is muted.
M: A bit thin and under-carbonated. Not particularly enjoyable.
O: While the nose and taste were respectable the weak body made drinking this somewhat of a chore.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle into a tulip glass. Allowed to warm up a bit.
A - Dark brown/red body with a pinkish/brown head. Looks a lot like a Flanders red.
S - Cherries, oak, vanilla, and lactic acid. Fairly funky and sour aroma.
T - Sour cherries followed by vanilla rich oak. Tart and slightly mouth puckering. Really sweet and smooth. Carbonation is pretty low but it works for the style.
O - Another good beer from the woods series. It is very refreshing and I love the sweet cherry pie and rich oak flavors. A good interpretation of the flanders/oude bruin style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle. Clear bright red with brownish tinges and a slightly pink average head. Lots of oak and sour cherry on the nose. There’s a faint maltiness there and some light funk. Very sour on the palate with flavours of sour cherry, oak and a light funk. Long, sour finish that leaves you salivating like Pavlov’s dog.

Bottle at stone sour ale fest. Dark red pour, with an off-white head. Lots of cherries in this.. sweet cherry pie, a bit of vinegar, tart cherry, oak and more oak, and lacto. A nice sour, not among the best, but still very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a clear mahogany color that grew cloudy as i poured more from the bottle. Head was tan with a slight red twinge to it. Retention was light. Aroma was of cherries, wild yeast and a subtly spiciness to it. Flavor was initially tart with cherries then the wild yeast came through finishing with a slight vanilla flavor. Carbonation was appropriate.
