Sep 14, 2004 A pitch black beer with a huge chocolate brown head. The aroma is lovely sweet with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, some burnt notes, and hints of coffee, leading up to a dry end. Wonderful.

Mar 15, 2002 Add my name to the list who feel that this beer is overcarbonated. Dark brown; large aroma of brown malt, cocoa; has dry, crackerlike, toasty flavours though despite the dryness hop flavours are restrained.

Jul 22, 2002 Dark brown/black with big coffee head. Rich coffee, roasty sweet malty aroma. Flavor not as rich, but good. Coffee dominant, finishes pleasantly bitter.
