COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On Nantucket a Pumple named Drumkin, brewed up some great ale with his pumpkins. One and all came to savor the delicious flavor, then wobbled around quite like bumpkins. At Cisco they thought, "The is De-Lish! Let’s make some more because we wish, to please all the tourists, and locals and purists, with the best ale that we can accomplish!"

Bottle from Ernesto987. Bronze in color with a small, tightly packed white head. Light pumpkin aroma with some clove showing up. Maybe some red apple in there too. Flavor is pumpkin with some spice showing up in the finish. Slight burn from the clove spice, but really it doesn’t add a whole lot to the flavor of this beer. Maybe a touch thin on the palate. I like my pumpkin beers to be aggressively spiced, and this is nothing like that.

Coffee, pumpkin, kibble, and clove nose. Odd. Cloudy copper, medium yellow head, good lacing. Coffee and kibble flavor. Quite grainy, with a healthy amount of ceereal. The coffee notes are weird and I’ve never found them in a pumpkin ale before. There are some pumpkin notes, but this beer is all about kibble. Low spice, low pumpkin for the style. Not a bad beer though.

355ml bottle. Aroma is sweet and spicy, with some floral notes. Pumpkin and apple nose. Nice appearance, clear amber orange colour, medium head the shade of pie crust, good lacing. Taste is pie crust, pumpkin, with a light bitterness and medium fruit. Lighter body, moderate carbonation. Overall, not bad, but the fruitiness of this was a little off-putting.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, thin, bit long lasting sticky white head that sticks around a while. Aroma has a hint of sweet spiciness - pumpkin pie spice of course comes to mind. Flavor has a spicy bent to it, some cinnamon, a hint of vanilla, some overripe vegetable funkiness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent.

12oz bottle poured into snifter. After cracking the top on this the aroma was super sweet and reminded me a lot of the first time I consumed Dogfish Punkin, so it seemed very promising. The flavor was rather quite bitter with a hoppy presence to it. Slight pumpkin flavor on the back end with a touch of cinnamon/nutmeg. Overall not too shabby.

Flowery and spicy aroma. Cloudy dark orange color with whispy sediment and a small white head. Mild sweet beginning with a moderate spicy finish. Similar to a milder punkin.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Decent head retention. Overly spiced aroma is reminiscent of potpourri. Some pumpkin and herbal notes as well. The taste is pumpkin and the same overly strong spice profile. Earthy, herbal and burnt notes. Medium bodied. Might be good if the spices were toned back.

12oz bottle in a snifter. Pours amber/copper with a lacy, light beige head. Aroma of cereal and caramel malts, light pumpkin but enough so its presence is still there, a decent amount of floral hops, and some spiciness. The pumpkin is not overpowering and is not the main focus of the beer. Average texture. This is a really good pumpkin beer.

Thanks to bmanning for sharing this bottle last night. Served in a tulip. Pours a hazy caramel color with a thin off-white head without much retention of lacing. The nose brings a bit of caramel and actual pumpkin, though not too much on the spice front, which was nice. The flavor had some nice pumpkin puree character without the heavy spicing behind many in this style. Slightly chewy with a medium body. Pretty good.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Pours orange, not the type of orange that I often use to describe an IPA, but a really distinct dark orange with a foamy off-white head. The aroma is of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and allspice with faint pumpkin in the background. The flavor is good but does seem like it could benefit from a bit more pumpkin flavor. Thankfully the spices are more toned down than I feared from their intensity in the aroma. This is an easy drinker although a bit thin. Overall, this is an above average pumpkin ale that will appeal to most drinkers.
