On Nantucket a Pumple named Drumkin, brewed up some great ale with his pumpkins. One and all came to savor the delicious flavor, then wobbled around quite like bumpkins. At Cisco they thought, "The is De-Lish! Letís make some more because we wish, to please all the tourists, and locals and purists, with the best ale that we can accomplish!"

huge Pumpkin, nutmeg, and alspice aroma with hints of coriander. Definitely one of the best pumpkin beers in terms of aromatics. Amazing pumpkin flavor with hints of cinnamon. Pours a dark orange with a creamy head

Bottle. Bronze-amber with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is spice (mainly cinnamon and nutmeg), carrot cake, pumpkin and grains. Taste is malt, big grainy notes, light pumpkin, dry carrot cake, cinnamon, light nutmeg and other assorted spices. Body is medium with a light, bubbly carbonation. Dry in spots as well with a light chalkiness. Finishes with more spices, light pumpkin, only hints of carrot cake at this point, malt notes, grains and brown sugar hints.

Pretty decent pumpkin beer. Poured an amber/brown color with light head. Aroma of nutmeg, clove, caramel. Taste is spicy and lightly sweet with little bittering.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Pours orange, not the type of orange that I often use to describe an IPA, but a really distinct dark orange with a foamy off-white head. The aroma is of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and allspice with faint pumpkin in the background. The flavor is good but does seem like it could benefit from a bit more pumpkin flavor. Thankfully the spices are more toned down than I feared from their intensity in the aroma. This is an easy drinker although a bit thin. Overall, this is an above average pumpkin ale that will appeal to most drinkers.

12oz bottle in a snifter. Pours amber/copper with a lacy, light beige head. Aroma of cereal and caramel malts, light pumpkin but enough so its presence is still there, a decent amount of floral hops, and some spiciness. The pumpkin is not overpowering and is not the main focus of the beer. Average texture. This is a really good pumpkin beer.

A golden amber ale with a thick creamy light mocha head. In aroma, a nice perfumey malt with light pot pourri, ginger and savoury herbs. In mouth, a nice herbal malt with earthy notes, ginger, cloves, all nice and well balanced, light mineral finale. On tap at Meadhall, Oct. 10 2011.

Nice slightly hazy bronze tinted copper and amber body with a thin, fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, malt, toffee and a touch of clove and yeast - very nice and fragrant. Medium-bodied; Dense, heavy mouthful with a lot of spices and a good dose of pumpkin and squash. Some toffee and nuttiness on the back end with a definite show of spice and sweetness. Aftertaste is a bit one-dimensional with the squash and spice flavours (predominately nutmeg) coming through. Overall, a nice pumpkin beer and definitely one of the better ones Iíve had - still not amazing and worth drinking all fall long, but this is a good one and should be sampled if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from the Lebanese Taverna Market in Arlington, Virginia on 02-October-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-October-2011.

Pours orange with lacy head. Smells slightly sweet and spicy. Tastes of malt, pumpkin, spices, bit of hops. Spicy, dry, bitter finish. Clean.

Beautiful color, clear garnet. Quite a fan of the spice aroma on this one, allspice, spicy cinnamon, light nutmeg. Flavor follows with some toasted bread, nice sweetness without being cloying, finish is slightly short and lacking. Overall an enjoyable beer with few flaws that I would certainly drink again. Didnít know it was 7%... nice! Some light tea like bitterness.

A lot of pumpkin beers seem to be in an arms race to figure out which can be the most over-the-top, pumpkin pie in a glass out there. Ciscoís effort is a lot more understated, and, to me, better than most. It starts with a solid base beer flavored primarily with pumpkin, with some nice but not overpowering spice in the finish. If youíre looking for a pumpkin beer rather than a dessert, this is worth checking out.
