2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jbruner (1125) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 23, 2012
Pours a clear copper color from the bottle with thin tan head and moderate lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, grassy funkiness, and slight pumpkin. Taste follows, but is very bland, the funky grass is not the good type of funk, the grainy malts don’t blend well, and the pumpkin is so slight that it’s almost not noticeable. Not something I want to seek out again.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 PhillyCraft (1973) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Bottle. Pours clearish amber, with thin white head. Aromas of weird spice, wet basement wood, earthy grains, stale hops, Taste is weird funk, stale hops, and stale pumpkin, rye. Bad mouthfeel, with a dry cotton mouth finish. Not my favorite pumpkin.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 emacgee (3445) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Clean light amber pour with one finger of spritzy sandstone tan head. Nose is kind of butty, that moist bread that’s a little old smell. Then some spices and shit. Lightly grainy with some grain husk aroma. Flavor isn’t even like boringly sweet and pie spicy good. If this beer was going to please any aspect of me it was going to be my baser tastes. Fail.

Was not as impressed as I thought! A little to acidic and the after taste is very bold.

Aroma of slight gingerbread and floral. Pours brown with a nice film. Tastes kind of hoppy with nice floral, bread and slight spice. Tastes like a Bohemian pilsner with pumpkin. I like its moderation.

"There once was a farmer-agrarian
With a surplus of squashes Hungarian.
He mumbled, "My Dear,
we must brew some beer
that appeals to a dumb vegetarian."
So there, label-writer limerick marketing guy. Watch out Vanilla Ice!
Perfumy, tannic, lightly spicy, somewhat sweaty aroma. Clear, rusty, red-orange-brown beer, standard US longneck, meh label. Nicely bittered at first, tangy, a bit metallic, not sweet, a bit woody. The bittering broke down to a metallic affair. Overall, blind, I would think this is a rye beer. A little sour fruit in the finish, amongst the long, non-descript hop bitterness. No love from Aurelius. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane.
