3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 halfonit (972) - Fall River, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Pours a deep amber, dark golden color with a thick white head(which tends to be a trademark from Cisco). Aroma is of sweeter malts, pumpkin, grass, leaves, hops, and nutmeg. Kind of like how fall is in upper New England. Flavor is of malts, dark fruit, very little pumkpin, cinnamon, and hops. Spells much better than it tastes.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Shaw’s Supermarket at Copley Square, Boston. Pours a very hazy amber orange with a thin-moderate tan head that was gone by the second sip and left very little lace. Pleasant aroma of malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The flavor is similar with the same malt, pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a bit more nutmeg in the flavor than typical spice mixtures. Probably my last pumpkin ale for the season.

Pours an opaque amber/caramel color with a thin tan head. Subdued aroma has light toasty malt and hints of cinnamon and clove. Flavor is more hoppy than most pumpkins...spicy...roasty malt with some pie crust and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is light and lively and the finish is hoppy with cinnamon and very dry. Too hoppy for a pumpkin beer IMHO.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 TheGent (513) - , Massachusetts, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Perhaps my last pumpkin beer for the year. Color was a deeper orange/brown compared to most pumpkin i had. normal all spice nutmeg and cinnamon but definite roasted pumpkin, malt base giving a deeper and less pie like impression. Ok body to it. over all good compared to most.

32 oz growler fill from Pinocchio’s. Almost clear amber with a clingy, creamy white head. Nose is toffee, nutmeg and allspice; sour hints and musty pumpkin. Taste is brown sugar, roasted pumpkin and same spices. More savory than sweet.

Bottle:   Amber with a copper hue, a bit of haze, thin sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Interesting earthy nose, a bit of fern root and perhaps a smidgen of all-spice.   Not your traditional pumpkin.   The earthiness and soil just smack you up front, on the tongue and the nose.   Moderately sweet on the backside, soft spices that could possibly be like a pumpkin?   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with some artiificial sort of sweetener flavor.   Had I drank this blind, I may not have said it was a Pumpkin Ale, just a spiced type of beverage.   Different, more earthy, and spiced differently than most.   I will say its unique, but not one I would likely reach for again.   Thanks Jason for the bottle!

This poured a medium to lighter orange color with an offwhite head. Aroma was of pale and caramel malt, very light pumpkin spices too. Flavor was light pumpkin flesh and spices, not much presence, some caramel malt, and butery diacetyl.

12 ounce thanks to Ernesto987. First pumpkin beer in some time. Spicy. Nutmeg. Pumpkin. About what I expect from the style.

Nice slightly hazy bronze tinted copper and amber body with a thin, fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, malt, toffee and a touch of clove and yeast - very nice and fragrant. Medium-bodied; Dense, heavy mouthful with a lot of spices and a good dose of pumpkin and squash. Some toffee and nuttiness on the back end with a definite show of spice and sweetness. Aftertaste is a bit one-dimensional with the squash and spice flavours (predominately nutmeg) coming through. Overall, a nice pumpkin beer and definitely one of the better ones I’ve had - still not amazing and worth drinking all fall long, but this is a good one and should be sampled if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from the Lebanese Taverna Market in Arlington, Virginia on 02-October-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-October-2011.

Pours cloudy brownish orange color with off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and graham crackers. Tasted like pumpkin pie with some Robitussin mixed in. Medum body with moderate carbonation. Not one of the better pumpkin beers.
