COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The lager is the lightest, most refreshing of our beers. It's a classic Bavarian style lager with a delicious bready malt palate and an assertive noble hop finish. It just makes your mouth beg for more...
Called Winter Vintage when released during the winter.

12oz bottle pours a clear golden/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of bready caramel malts, some grains, with slight earthy grassy hops. Grains and malts dominate with an off putting metallic/mineral bitterness followed by some grassy hops on the finish. Drinkable.

Presentation: 12 oz. green can, served in a Samuel Adams pint glass. Appearance: Two finger white colored head. Cloudy yellow color. Smell: It has a complex, earthy and musky smell. Malts and hops are the dominant scents. There are grain and herbal notes in there too. Taste: There’s a good balance between the malt sweetness and hop bitterness (which are the main flavors), with a herbal touch in the background. Mouthfeel: Creamy, light, and easy to drink. There’s not a lot of carbonation and it finishes dry. Overall: It’s a very flavorful and complex beer. While it is refreshing and easy to drink, this lager is way more complicated than the horde of ales that define the summer season. This is either good or bad, depending on what you’re expecting from the brew. If you’re tired of the typical summer ale and thirst for something different, it’s a good thing. If you just want something simple, quenching and refreshing for the summer months, it’s bad. Either way, no one who appreciates beer would have a hard time enjoying it all the same.

12/30/12. 12oz bottle from a brewery rep. Slightly hazed orange, almost light honey colored, pour with a small, soapy off-white head that fades to a ring pretty fast. Plain bready, earthy aroma with caramel and a sort of medicinal aspect. The flavor is similar again with a plain bready, earthy aspect, but with more pronounced citrus/lemon and lingering burnt caramel. Eh.

Gold with a slight copper tint. Minimal head. Smells of yeast, alcohol, wet hay. Taste is same as smell with slight bitterness from hops. A lingering finish of yeast and grass. Thin bodied brew with a craft brew difference of flavor. Not a favorite but not bad.

12 oz can. I can see why this beer got such good ratings - it did not disappoint. even though I an drinking a "Summer" offering close to Thanksgiving. extremely nice crisp clean grassy flavor and went down like a tart limeade. Not as hoppy as some of my favorite pilsner offerings, but even more drinkable. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this beer. The Bud of microbrews. (no dis intended.)
