Pronounced hops, some bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable, if not necessarily memorable.

12/30/12. 12oz bottle from a brewery rep. Slightly hazed orange, almost light honey colored, pour with a small, soapy off-white head that fades to a ring pretty fast. Plain bready, earthy aroma with caramel and a sort of medicinal aspect. The flavor is similar again with a plain bready, earthy aspect, but with more pronounced citrus/lemon and lingering burnt caramel. Eh.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Gold with a slight copper tint. Minimal head. Smells of yeast, alcohol, wet hay. Taste is same as smell with slight bitterness from hops. A lingering finish of yeast and grass. Thin bodied brew with a craft brew difference of flavor. Not a favorite but not bad.

12 oz can. I can see why this beer got such good ratings - it did not disappoint. even though I an drinking a "Summer" offering close to Thanksgiving. extremely nice crisp clean grassy flavor and went down like a tart limeade. Not as hoppy as some of my favorite pilsner offerings, but even more drinkable. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this beer. The Bud of microbrews. (no dis intended.)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a light and slightly hazy gold color with only a miniscule amount of head. The aroma is mostly mild and fruity yeast esters. The flavor, like the aroma, also has a minimalist approach where all of the flavors from the yeast, malt and hops blend with each other to form a slightly fruity and slightly malty lager that is both crisp and refreshing.

Aroma is grainy malts and a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is mildly sweet malts, beery and a long and medium grassy/bitter finish.

This is a very flavorful lager. Nice malt/hops balance. Gold with think white head and surprising lacing. I could drink this again and again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crisp golden coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, hay, grass, light cardboard and a bit of barnyard funk - like a biere de garde. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and very earthy hops up front that fade immediately to a dry malty note with a twinge of of pine and light cascade hops. Aftertaste is very mild with only some alcohol, malt and a hint of sugars at the end - nice and smooth. Overall, a nice set of flavours with a lower profile and some good characteristics for a late summer/winter beer. I sampled this twelve ounce CAN purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-July-2012 for US$1.65 sampled at home in Washington on 20-September-2012.
