3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet, swampy taste like autumn leaves with old fashioned candy with toast and acorns. Not great, but points for being different than I expected. Like the whale?s tale logo. Kind of curious about the calligraphy on the upper label, whether its just artistic or Hebrew letters or something. Not a bad beer, but they could probably do more with this brand. A little closer to an amber ale or a red ale than a pale ale.

Brown and bubbly. Malty and a bit bitter. Clean and dry finish. Nice brew to try out.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma sweet, bready, like caramel and sugarcane. After an initial bite of carbonation, sweet malt flavors kick in with a pleasantly bitter mild hop finish. Relatively low alcohol content makes this a good post-dinner sessioner.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle. Pretty good pale. Has a crisp finish but no much for hops. I would have again.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
One of my favorite pale ales that I always have a few in my fridge. Visited the brewery in Nantucket and had a blast.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A ¾ pint bottle carried back home from bottle bar (Biers Sans Frontiers), GBBF 13. Bright and clear amber coloured body. Creamy, off-white head that laces well. Smell of bread, herbal hops and dried fruits. Mixed flavours of red orange and caramel malts followed by a resin-like, bitter ending. Satisfying bittersweet tail. Soft and dry on the swallow. Just alright (shared with Finn H at his place in Tromsø 30.10.2013).

Bright clear amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Light minerally crisp palate. Light toffee malt, little dried fruits. Crispy minerally finish. Dull! Meh!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A sweet molasses aroma, like an okto. The flavor is also sweetish. Definitely of the English variety, as it’s more molasses than hops.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark amber color with a slightly cloudy body. Didn’t have much of an aroma other than an indistinct sweet smell, which I guess was some kind of bread or biscuit malt. Flavor has that sweet bread taste combined with a mild hop bitterness. Another okay beer from the okay Cisco brewers

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Love the simple label. Especially the 3/4 pint notation. Pours a very clear and dark orange color. Aroma is more British pale for sure so kudos to brewing to style. Taste is primarily cereal malt with a small dose of hops. Does taste a bit watery which is odd for a 5.6% beer.
