jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Dec 28, 2005 12 oz bottle-pours a 2 finger high, rich, rocky, tan head that laces. Cloudy burnt orange color with effervescence. Aroma is malt, creamy, musty, background hops. Taste is a burst of hops with some bite, then balanced by a creamy, sweet malt and fruity. Nice. (much different tasting when I had it later with food)
Holdwine (828), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Sep 6, 2008 Spot on to style. This is how to use hops when not trying to make a big beer or overpower the drinker. Decnt roasted malt notes abound. Tinny finish lowers the rating. SuzyGreenberg (934), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 27, 2008 750 ml bottle - purchased at New Beer Dist. in NYC; bright orange and clear with thin, white head; fruity and malty aromas; no carbonation; sweet, almost syrupy texture; a very nice pale ale with lots of flavor and little of the over powering and often over used hops DrDavid (207), , Vermont, USA Aug 24, 2008 (Bottle). Tangy hops aroma. Pours hazy bright orange with a smallish white head. Mild citrusy somewhat bitter flavor with a nice dry astringent finish. Refreshing. TOSG55 (32), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light orange with little head. Bready, metallic aroma. Flavor is soapy and bready, with a bit of hops. Very disappointing. BREWMUSKCLES (763), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Aug 17, 2008 another well thought and appropriate rating issued from experience with regard to this decent brew. lost forever when the web site forgets that i have logged on.
