An amber English-style ale that has a nice balance between hops and malt. It's the most popular of our beers and the most versatile in terms of pairing with food or people.

Appearance: lovely orange under a billowy pithy head which fades with large patches of lace in its wake. Head lingers with a pillowy clump in the middle. Swirls enticing.
Nose: like walking into a bakery with loaves in the oven baking, loaves cooling on the counter, and fresh dough being kneaded. Lemon pith in the middle with lemon zest along the sides. Subtle dryness of straw and bread crust.
Palate: as equally bready as the nose implied with loaves of white, whole grain, and honey. Chewy and rich. Bitter rind and pith in the back before more honey-kissed fresh bread cuts through and inspires thirst. Dry grains and bread crust in the middle. Not a long finish.
Final Thoughts: a solid Pale Ale that definitely brings to mind and justifies the term “liquid bread”. Whales Tale didn’t break any Pale Ale boundaries but what it did do was brew justice to the solid standards that are already in place. Good show.

Pours a lightly hazy brown-orange with tan head. A fruity malt and spice aroma. A heavy malt with some fruits, citrus hops, and grains. A sweet malt and lightly dry grain aftertaste.

ROGUE (2200) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - JUL 27, 2016
On tap at SLL tasting and 12oz bottle. Poured a light copper, almost Amber with a thin head of light foam. Aroma was spicy with a sweet fruit note. Great carbonation helped bring out the bitterness of the hops very well and finished with a sweet caramel flavor.

Had with Blake in Boston. 5.6%, from Nantucket. Not bad, but probably could drink a few of them. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fairly lightly hopped, nicely balanced making it very sessionable for the ABV but lacking a real punch to make it interesting.

Drank at the Publik House, in Chester, NJ, from a bottle. A very bland, normal everyday pale ale...not impressed.

Restrained citrus aroma in a golden amber pour. A nicely balanced brew that has a different fruitbread body that seperate so it from its peers and makes for a nice change.

Can shared by Joe, thanks pal. Pours murky red with small to medium white head. Fruit punch and honey mustard notes. Brutal offering that my friend pushed back to the bar keep.
