Sweet, fruity/fruit cake aroma. Bad label, longneck bottle. Clear, darkish ruby brown, not much head. Tangy, malty, citrus peel bitterness, difficult-to-describe spiciness, notes of tea. Medium heavy body, long spice-bitter aftertaste. One’s enough. ABC Betton.

Pours a four-finger khaki head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Crystal clear, deep amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Piney, citrusy nose and flavor is spicy citrus, dry light bitter finish. Unusual winter brew. $2.35 for a 12oz bottle from Bert’s Better Beers Hooksett, NH

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber-brown with a nice beige head. Smells like chocolate. Tastes like cloves, cinnamon, pepper, hints of ginger, some malt. Very bitter finish, lots of herbal, piney and earthy hops. Sharp. Medium body. Felt like this was not a very balanced product - too much bitterness, did not leave much room to spices.

There once was a beer from Nantucket,
which sucked so much ass I said "fuck it."
Scratching an itch, while I drain-pour this bitch,
if this wasn’t so bad I could’ve drunk it.

Bottle. Gorgeous dark ruby-tinged copper. Tall, foamy tan head. Aroma is toasted malt, caramel and light spice. Taste is caramel, earthy hops, toasted malt, soft spice, light nuttiness and soft hoppy bitterness. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation and mild stickiness. Ends with more toasted malt notes, chewy caramel, light spice and light, bitter hops.

A typical winter ale in that it has notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and pours a deep dark color with a mild head. Not to shabby.

12 oz. bottle. Pours copper red orange with a tight khaki head that settles to a foamy soapy film and shows minimal lacing. Aroma is strong pine hops and booze with some rye bready notes. Taste is more of the above with resinous pine bark rye bread and finish boozy. Palate is medium and chalky and boozy.

A little caramel and spice aromas. Bitter spice and fruit flavors. Overall a decent beer.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was bitter pine, molasses, cherry and nut. The flavor was intensely bitter and piney with notes of molasses, caramel, resin, a notable boozy presence and rough fruity hops. Long dryish finish of rough piney and fruity hops and lingering booziness. Ok.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Dark orange leading to light brown with a sticky khaki colored head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma has some spicy notes with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. flavor is hearty and warming with some peppermint, a touch of nutmeg and various Christmas spices. Back end has some gumball sweetness to it. Thick enough mouthfeel. Nice.
