UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 Bottle.
There once was a beer from Nantucket,
which sucked so much ass I said "fuck it."
Scratching an itch, while I drain-pour this bitch,
if this wasn’t so bad I could’ve drunk it.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Gorgeous dark ruby-tinged copper. Tall, foamy tan head. Aroma is toasted malt, caramel and light spice. Taste is caramel, earthy hops, toasted malt, soft spice, light nuttiness and soft hoppy bitterness. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation and mild stickiness. Ends with more toasted malt notes, chewy caramel, light spice and light, bitter hops.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A typical winter ale in that it has notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and pours a deep dark color with a mild head. Not to shabby.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle. Cola like appearence with a one finger, creamy off white head. Typical winter warmer spicey scent. Cinnamon, nutmeg etc. A little bit of pine bitterness in the taste. Some dark malty sweetness. More spice. Moderate in body. Along the lines of Harpoons Winter Warmer, but sharper and more astringent. It was ok.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Situation: Shark Tank Friday--the best hour of TV deserves a beer rating!
Glassware: Kisatsky’s Tavern pint...
Appearance: nice nut brown body; thick, creamy head reminiscent of a snow drift (three-finger crater-filled mound!)...
Aroma: vanilla, berry (?!), syrupy and sugary--a complex hodgepodge that cannot be verified as the beer glass drains...
Palate: warming--no abv on the label?! A turn-off--and then the beer finishes in a flourish of cough syrup...oh no...
Taste: oddly thick vanilla and syrup/nut taste--a bit too medicinal to be considered an attractive holiday option....
Overall: "Gnar-Gnar Lumpkin" sounds fun when you say it to your spouse aloud, but he sticks in your throat and nostrils like a liquid sasquatch; divulge the alcohol content, Cisco, and we may have reason to see past the muddle that is this beer’s body and flavor...not sure "cold, fresh, and wicked cool" isn’t longhand for Coors Heavy...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown. Flavor of brown sugar and some caramel, with underlying spices, and perceivable, but very light hops, in addition to the very light spiciness. Very much a rich brown ale. Not bad.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 One of the worst beers I have ever tasted. Couldn’t finish the bottle. I can only call it medicinal, and not in a good way.
