COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gnar-Gnar Lumpkin, the shreddingist snowman this side of Nantucket Sound, likes nothing better than catching a wave on his board...a Cisco wave that is, cold, fresh, and wicked cool! Get mad shacked with the Shredder and have yourself a merry little winter.

A little caramel and spice aromas. Bitter spice and fruit flavors. Overall a decent beer.

12 oz bottle. Cola like appearence with a one finger, creamy off white head. Typical winter warmer spicey scent. Cinnamon, nutmeg etc. A little bit of pine bitterness in the taste. Some dark malty sweetness. More spice. Moderate in body. Along the lines of Harpoons Winter Warmer, but sharper and more astringent. It was ok.

Situation: Shark Tank Friday--the best hour of TV deserves a beer rating! Glassware: Kisatskyís Tavern pint... Appearance: nice nut brown body; thick, creamy head reminiscent of a snow drift (three-finger crater-filled mound!)... Aroma: vanilla, berry (?!), syrupy and sugary--a complex hodgepodge that cannot be verified as the beer glass drains... Palate: warming--no abv on the label?! A turn-off--and then the beer finishes in a flourish of cough syrup...oh no... Taste: oddly thick vanilla and syrup/nut taste--a bit too medicinal to be considered an attractive holiday option.... Overall: "Gnar-Gnar Lumpkin" sounds fun when you say it to your spouse aloud, but he sticks in your throat and nostrils like a liquid sasquatch; divulge the alcohol content, Cisco, and we may have reason to see past the muddle that is this beerís body and flavor...not sure "cold, fresh, and wicked cool" isnít longhand for Coors Heavy...

Brown. Flavor of brown sugar and some caramel, with underlying spices, and perceivable, but very light hops, in addition to the very light spiciness. Very much a rich brown ale. Not bad.

Dark brown color with a small head. Light malty aroma. Flavor of brown sugar. Moderate bitterness. Something that tastes like very dark caramel.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 One of the worst beers I have ever tasted. Couldnít finish the bottle. I can only call it medicinal, and not in a good way.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 1/6/13

Aroma: The nose is a bit fruity, with some spice, toasted malts, earth, and floral notes
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish color with a small, creamy off-white head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is spice and sweetness, in an odd, unbalanced mix that just doesnít quite work
Palate: Medium bodied, it has a something unpleasant about the texture, with a lengthy, astringent finish
Overall Impression: I wasnít a bad fan of this one. It is a very nice looking beer, and the nose is decent enough as well, but thereís something unpleasant and unbalanced that kind of takes over the flavor and leaves a poor feel on the mouth. Bleh...

From a bottle. Smell is ok but a little volatile. Look is that of a darker beer. Taste is usual with these holiday spiced beer; rough, spicey and a little rude. Leaves a bit of astringent bitterness in the back of the throat and sice of the tongue. Nast nellie. Probably quite high on the alky level. Yes, an overall rudish beer. Not impressed. Wew. Good thing this has a little co2 or it would be a totally crappy beer experience.

Deep amber pour into the glass, with a diminishing head that leaves little to no lacing. The nose is sweet, of cotton candy, and also vegetal at the same time. Flavors are somewhat dry and spicy, some herbs, cinnamon, beans and legumes present, all lingering with a basement dank bitterness that, at times, feels like a finish of perm (hair) solution. The mouthfeel is smooth and the body is medium-light, with appropriately light carbonation. Iím not sure how pleasant this combination is in description, but it somehow works itself out in the pull. Thereís a lot going on here, and for true spice/herb/vegetable fans, this shouldnít disappoint. For those of us that donít necessarily use a juice maker for our veggies, itís just ok.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a deep mahogany amber with pretty decent clarity and a small, but long lasting beige head. The aroma is of molasses, dark malts, coriander, and a little bready. The body is medium and smooth. The hops are more dominating in the flavor as the sweetness quickly evolves into a moderate bitterness and dry finish.
