A typical winter ale in that it has notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and pours a deep dark color with a mild head. Not to shabby.

Brewdork (56) - Sanford, Florida, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Pours deep copper with a small tan head. Aroma toffee with skunky notes. Flavor has a bit of nutmeg up front, but it’s quickly clobbered by an unpleasant wave of resiny bitterness. Aftertaste is worse... and long-lasting to boot. There aren’t a lot of beers I don’t enjoy on some level. this is one.

czar (2232) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 26, 2013
bottle from VT, thanks. pours clear copper orange with a nice light beige head, decent retention and lacing. good dose of caramel and toffee, relatively dry, oranges, spices - good belgium spiciness imitation btw, few garbagy notes, very boozy, pepper, yeast. soft carbonation, light to medium body, medium hopping - grassy-piney kind of harsh finish, maybe some astringent tea. DP.

Palidor19 (2727) - Brandon, Florida, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Has an unnatural flavor of grain with a nutty like taste. The hops are bitter that lingers after a few sips. It looks good but everything else is subpar ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is toasted and spicy with pine hops. The appearance is deep amber with a foamy head. The taste is bitter and strange. The palate is typical for a seasonal. Overall a dud.

Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a dark copper color with a decent off white head. The nose is bready with a little spice and sweetness. The flavor has light fruity notes with a mix of spices, nuts, and wood followed by a rather abrupt bitterness. It finishes off dry. Decent but a little herky jerky.

DocLock (6789) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2013
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear cherry wood color with tan head. Nose is vienna malt, some butyric acid, and brown sugar. Tastes of caramel malt, cinnamon, brown sugar, and some definite butyrides. This one is OK, not something great or even good. A rare miss from Cisco after the great draft lineup at Capone’s.

portableparty (1596) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours copper red orange with a tight khaki head that settles to a foamy soapy film and shows minimal lacing. Aroma is strong pine hops and booze with some rye bready notes. Taste is more of the above with resinous pine bark rye bread and finish boozy. Palate is medium and chalky and boozy.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was bitter pine, molasses, cherry and nut. The flavor was intensely bitter and piney with notes of molasses, caramel, resin, a notable boozy presence and rough fruity hops. Long dryish finish of rough piney and fruity hops and lingering booziness. Ok.
