COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
XVII is a lager that was brewed using a floor malted bohemian pilsner malt and decocted twice. This old-world wort was boiled with new world hops creating intense bitterness, flavor, and aroma. Fermented slowly by a lager yeast for three weeks it was then ready to be dry hopped to oblivion over the course of the next 5 weeks. Is 100 IBUs really all we can get into a beer? Hhhhhhmmmmm....

Draft at Capone?s. Pours a hazy yellow with a slight white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit with lots of dankness. Taste is very interesting. Dank hops mix with grapefruit characters to give a really strong, deep flavor. Crushingly dry which I attribute to the lager yeast. Really weird but really good.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours turbid margarita golden colored with white clingy head. Nose was dry, flora, with a lot of pineapple. Tasted resiny hoppy, dry and floral, with a lot of pineapple and grapefruity hints, and some finishing oaky woody notes that melded well into the beer.

Lätt grumligt ljusgul i färgen med litet vitt skum. Doftar funky, omogen ananas, grön ung humle, jäst och vinöst. Smakar bäskt av humle, torrt, gräs, ananas, aparikos, apelsinbitterhet.
