DougShoemaker (2560), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 28, 2008 Faint malt and corn aroma, pale yellow, pours a good sized white head. Taste is watered down malt and corn. Very thin, no bitterness. ? Not much going on here.
CapFlu (3292), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 31, 2008 (500ml can) purchased at the LCBO at King Edward, Ottawa, for $2.20. Pours a lasting foamy, white head with a highly-carbonated golden body. Nose is lemony and metallic. Nicely light and smooth, really isn’t that bad a brew. Its refreshing and has a Carlsberg tonic, lemony front. 5/3/6/3/11 Cartoon_khaki (1116), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2008 Malta... odd light fjura (flower) aroma but its a light one.. more sweet... like dried chamomile.
It’s a mild beer with non offensive moments. But nothing really stands out to me. Grainy and whatever. I’ll leave it at being non-offensive.
I’ll ieqaf (stop) there gilvanblight (341), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2008 Stinky beer. Skunky hops scent right away. Typical straw yellow pour. Much better flavour then expected from the scent. Very hoppy watery and grainy. Nothing special. mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 [1563-20080802] 500mL can. Aroma has mild skunky notes of flower straw. Clear, light yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Light straw flavour has some floral grains and mild skunk. Light body. Not horrible but not pleasant either.
(w/ jerc) The_Jester (493), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 10, 2008 500 mL can. (bb 31 May 09). Pale gold with just a film of head. The aroma is surprisingly malty, but there is some wet hay in there as well. Very little flavour, other than sweetness and bubbles. (Which are excellent traits in a woman, but not in a beer). No body to speak of. (Not such a good trait in a woman). To be honest, this is not as bad as some pale lagers, as there aren’t any adjuncts apparent in the aroma or flavour of this beer.
