Can: Poured a golden color lager with a huge foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet malt with no distinguishable adjunct. Taste is also dominated by some medium sweet malt note. No hops presence was discernable or any floral notes but I should also say that no major flaw is detectable. Not bad overall but still too bland for my taste buds.

500ml can
5.0% ABV I tried this on June 28, 2008 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent pale yellow, probably the palest yellow I have ever seen on a non-North American product. The head was white, bubbly, and disappeared quickly to a ring. The aroma was stale grainy malt and not much else. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The taste was more stale grains and a little hoppish bitterness. Nothing I’ll buy again.

A golden lager with a thick white head. Aroma of corn adjunct and light sulfuric notes. In mouth, sweetish corny malt with very little else going on for it. Another euro-lager from the LCBO.

Faint malt and corn aroma, pale yellow, pours a good sized white head. Taste is watered down malt and corn. Very thin, no bitterness. ? Not much going on here.

500 ml can from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. JN17/08.

App.: Clear, bright golden, nice white meringue. Aroma: Plenty of grain and cereal, very light apple juice, very light Saaz hops. Palate: Medium body and carbonation. Flav.: Starts with plenty of cardboard, blech, cereal, boring; dry with a wee touch of bitterness.

A letdown.

Can. Looks like your standard light-gold lager. Nice grain nose; light skunk. Begins nice and refreshing, with a good hop beginning, semi-watery middle and mildly sweet finish. Fairly good grainy presence throughout. Quite enjoyable, but not any better or worse than your standard export lager.

500mL can from the LCBO. Pours a nice gold with a creamy, large white head. The aroma: Surprisingly skunky? Wtf? This is from a can! Flavour is, surprisingly skunky and plastic-like. Weird and unpleasant finish of dry alcohol and fuel. Very little malt to speak of, mostly tin and skunk, implying there may have been hops in here at some point but have long since deceased. This stuff is just BAD. "...produced to continental requirements...", implying an island like Malta has LOWER requirements? What a stupid beer. I am less than impressed, and kind of want my money back!

Very pale colour with some white head that stays as lace on the way down. More or less easy drinking lager. Near-astringancy soapy finish, not overwhelmingly unpleasant. Neutral aroma.

can from the LCBO. Pours a pale straw yellow, with minimal head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, corn, and some cheap grains. Flavour is much of the same with an off sweet corn flavour i’m not reaslly enjoying. Meh, run of the mill crappy pale lager.

Can-Pours a pale sparkling yellow gold. The nose is grainy and full of lemon and honey with a good dose of subtle hops. Tastes of subtle sweet lemon and biscuit with honey and grains, leading to dry, mild, bittering hops. Not groundbreaking, but certainly better than expected.
