Cisk was launched in Malta in 1928. It is a golden-coloured lager with a distinctive and well-balanced character. Its rich hop aroma and pleasant bitterness, combined with a mild astringency, make it an outstanding thirst-quencher. Its alcohol content is 4.2%.

Cisk Lager was awarded top prize in the International Lager Category at the 1995 Australian Beer Awards and was presented with the Pfizer Food Science Trophy for the lager obtaining the highest number of votes in the same competition. 10.5°

At the multi-national tasting held in Rome-Italy on 29/08/2015 (Jow, Mortlach, ippopotamo36 and Marco). Bottle courtesy of Sylvan, thank you! Pours a yellow clear color, small white foam short lasting. Nose: a mild straw feel, sweet notes of sugar, a bit flat. Mouth: hay, veggies, flat. Boring but good for the country tick.

Beautiful persistent foam. Lovely malty and tasty hoppy lager which do not differ significantly from other lagers, apart from its southern European in its style. Little watery and light flavor of fresh grass in bitterness.

Couple of draught pints at The Imperial Brass Band Club overlooking the spectacularly bulbed church at Mellieha. Streaming pale gold with an enduring white mousse. Surprisingly clean and pleasant with an unobtrusive mildly bready flavour and the minutest rind of lemon in the background. Neutral, almost mineral aroma. Papery from the bottle and can presumably due to the glue. But refreshing and pleasant here with no obvious adjuncts.

Can from Buckeyeboy... Clear golden.... Standard grainy lager nose... Nothing really wrong with it, just un-inspired... Still better than most BMC standards... Perhaps an older can. Cool to try... Thanks Jeremy!!! Another country tick is another country tick.

Can from Jeremy. New country tick. all else, a cheap, grainy euro lager, watery, wet paper smell and taste. Not horrendous, but not that good either.

12 oz can, thanks to Jeremy. Guess I’ve finally had a Malta beer. Not bad for a lager

Can thanks to Alaster. My first Malta tick. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is corn wheat grain and some grass. Taste is more of the corn and wet wheat.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2015 Bottle 25cl. @ bar in Valletta, Malta (26/8/15). Clear pale golden, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing; grainy nose, pale malt, paper; taste medium sweet and light bitter, bit watery; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, slightly more bitter in the finish; nothing special.

You will drink this at least once if you go to Malta, and should prepare yourself for disappointing holiday beer. At no point could I face a second pint.

Bevuta a Malta, in lattina. Il colore č chiaro. Il profumo non č male. Il sapore č metallico e vuoto, molto carbonata. Decisamente non molto buona.
