La cerveza más común en Malta... y que queréis que os diga, no merece comentario alguno. Una cerveza de gran consumo más.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale golden with a white head that has troubles staying up.
Light malt aroma. Notes of straw and corn.
Medium thin body, flavour is sweet and some citrus notes. Some hops bitterness. Clean finish. No heavyweight, but very drinkable, especially in warmer climates. Recommendable if you were to find yourself, say, on an island in the Mediterranean.

I got this for a cheap tick but I get online and, lo and behold, it’s my first tick from Malta. Congratulations Malta, you have joined the motley crew of countries from which I have tried beers. You are a nobly people and should be proud... though maybe not so proud of this beer in particular. It does look decent and competes w/ many fine lagers the world wide w/ it’s pale golden color and foamy white head. The nose is slightly less appealing. A very faint waft of skunk clears away revealing a bit of grain husk maltiness and some cooked corn notes. Despite this, this is a rather easy drinking beer due to dryness and crisp carbonation. It’s comparable to a good US macro lager in this regard. It certainly does not bowl you over w/ flavor nor does it impress w/ elegance or subtle sophistication but I can never really hate a beer that’s nicely drinkable. Any sweetness is balanced by a small hop bitterness in the finish. I would never say this is great stuff but if I found myself in Malta, I’d be happy to have another.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Typical importo-lagery pour ... clear and light yellow with a fizzy white head and a skunky foam top. The taste lives down to the expectation ... overly light, skunky, and overtly corny. Not very encouraging for a repeat visit. (#3935, 7/1/2010)

Can, 50 cl. Yellow to golden beer with no bubbles, big white creamy head that lasts, nice lacing overall. Smell of malts and hops, with some bitterness in the nose. Very similar taste: malty, light sweet and also hoppy with a light bitter finish. Very drinkable beer, but as a lager beer not the top for sure.
