Cisk was launched in Malta in 1928. It is a golden-coloured lager with a distinctive and well-balanced character. Its rich hop aroma and pleasant bitterness, combined with a mild astringency, make it an outstanding thirst-quencher. Its alcohol content is 4.2%.
Cisk Lager was awarded top prize in the International Lager Category at the 1995 Australian Beer Awards and was presented with the Pfizer Food Science Trophy for the lager obtaining the highest number of votes in the same competition.

Bottle. A big surprise, as this does not taste like an ordinary, cheap, industrial macrolager. Bready malt, residual sugars, some lemony hops in the aroma. Medium body, light sweetness and moderate bitterness. None of the cheap tart notes I expected to find, some nice bitterness instead. A beer I genuinely liked.

Clear pale golden with white head. Nose is pale malts, sugars, citrus. Taste follows, grass, sugars, lemon. Imported version may suffer, a bit flat, light carbonation. Not really my thing but drinkable.

Can at Craft Beer Clerkenwell thanks to Bob, 09/03/13. Clear pale golden with a good sized white head. Nose is pale malts, piss, sugars, citrus. Taste follows, grass, sugars, lemon. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, surprisingly non too fizzy! Ok for a pale lager - pleasantly surprised!

Can at CBC Clerkenwell, London. Thanks mate. It pours clean pale straw colour with a fair white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy with some grains and used books. Taste is crisp and refreshing, still aome hop bite, grains and paper. Thin and well carbonated. Not great, but I’ve had much worse.

Can shared at CBC, Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear, light yellow with a fine, white foam head. Doughy, papery malts in the nose. Light sweet flavor, distinct paper, some hay, dry dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry to finish, some further papery pale and doughy malts, light straw. Simple beer overall.

330 ml bottle Straw gold color, bright white head. Good strips of lacing. Metal, corn, wet cardboard, and stewed veggies. Pretty typical really. Sweet corn taste. Prickly carbonation, slightly metallic, and a foul, bitter, cardboard finish with touches of lemon. Lemon saves it from being horrible. Can see this being workable on a 35c day on a island. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
