Crosling (1628), Loveland, Colorado, USA Aug 12, 2008 Sampled side by side with regular Cisk Lager. A very light yellow/golden colored beer with a small white colored head, nearly identical in appearance to the regular Cisk Lager. Nose has more complexity than the regular Cisk, with similar notes as the regular Cisk, but also some light notes of caramel and fruit. Flavor isn’t enjoyable, but has some nice malt elements of caramel and toffee. Suprisingly decent. Still not drinkable for me, but it’s an ok beer. If I were desperate I could drink this.
Capa (719), Yokosuka, Japan Jul 27, 2008 Very clean and clear yellow color with a tight white head. Sugary sweet malts, yeast, grain, and some alcohol in the aroma. Thick and smooth mouth. Syrupy sweet flavor, malts, light hops, and some alcohol is picked up under all that sweetness. Really sweet lager hiding a bunch of alcohol underneath it all. gunnfryd (2718), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 8, 2007 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt. Flavour is sweet, malt, alcohol, fruit. Ok beer. yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 28, 2007 Bottle. Clear, almost golden beer with a white head. Alcohol, sweetness and maltyness, as well as a vague fruityness in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and malty as well, with some fruityness, a little bitter touch, and surprisingly not so much alcohol, at least not until the end. Medium full, sweetish body. The beer is too strong and unbalanced. I like strong beers, but they need a balance, and the alcohol should be more of the warming kind, than just alcohol. (070914) ogivlado (2193), Zagreb, Croatia Feb 21, 2007 Bottled(330ml). -Clear golden coloured, small white head, lively carbonation, medical alcohol nose. The aroma is sweet malty, fresh hoppy and grainy with nice lemon notes. Bitter finish. Easy drinkable and surprisingly fresh for 9%ABV.
