2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden color/ white head. Sweet grainy malt, corn flakes aromas. Medium body with light carbonation. Lightly sweet honey slathered white bread flavors with stale corn flakes. Better than most American 40oz ghetto Malt Liquors, way more expensive, too.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
0,33l bottle as gift from Malta. Clear, pale orange color with small, creamy, white head. Strong liquor, mlt and alcohol odor. Heavily alcohol flavour altough it’s cold. But behind the alcohol there’s a malt and spicy hop flavour. It’s a bit caramel malty. I think it’s too much alcohol for this kind of a beer. Intereting that it isn’t sweet like other Barley Wines, but it’s light bitter. Medium body, slick texture, biting carbonation. Light bitter, liquor finish with alcohol - of course. Not a bad barley wine, I like this hoppy feeling behind the heavy alcohol content. But I prefer other styles of high ABV beers.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very clean and clear yellow color with a tight white head. Sugary sweet malts, yeast, grain, and some alcohol in the aroma. Thick and smooth mouth. Syrupy sweet flavor, malts, light hops, and some alcohol is picked up under all that sweetness. Really sweet lager hiding a bunch of alcohol underneath it all.

poured a cristal clear balnd yellow hue with a fast fading white head. Aroma was somewhat skunky but also had some nutty notes. Flavor was very sweet and the alcohol was present. Crisp in the finish. Not bad for a malt liquor.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
The label on my bottle is different, ‘Extra Strong Lager’ is written ‘Cisk Extra Lager’, this beer has a clear pale yellow-gold pour with white bubbles and mild effervescence maybe a bit more, there could be a bit more gold color in this than the Cisk Lager beer, it looks more viscous than their Cisk lager and has more effervescence to, aromas of sweet alcohol, some malt and grain, there is a touch of grassiness on the nose, flavors are of sugary syrup malt and alcohol, some bitterness on the palate but the alcohol sweetness is in there and peeping above all else, the sweet malt appears to have some light caramel flavor, the alcohol gives a small bite on the palate to, there is a more than medium mouth feel with some stickiness on the palate, I can see this getting tiresome after more than one bottle, also, as it warms the sweet and alcohol become more pronounced, make sure it is cold, I prefer the Cisk lager more than this stuff.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a pale, yellow, ok carbonation. medium head. Aroma Grain and alcohol a slight bit earthy in smell. Flavor was grainy and malt kind of corn taste, then a flood of alcohol in the finish. It warms the stomach.
After taste was very grainy. Strong beer light on taste. would drink again but won’t buy again.

Way better than the original cisk lager mainly due to its potent unwatered down nature. Malty strong flavor.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from the local Supermarche in Malta. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet grainy euro strong nose, light alcohol, dough and cereal. The taste is sweet, grassy bitterness, doughy, cereal and grain with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I am upraised this actually has decent bitterness to it which carries the sweet body a bit. Good for this style.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from All 4U, St Julian, Malta. Poured clear medium amber with a think broken white head and a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light caramel, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, light sweet, with a big malt burning alcohol, medicinal palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a great beer, but i’ve tasted much worse and plenty worse from Cisk themselves.
