1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is sparingly hoppy. The taste is mainly characterized by high alcohol. 9 percent alcohol for a lager are also among the strong ones, but this XS carries real strength quite nicely. It may otherwise be difficult to find a good balance between high alcohol and flavor notes in a strong lager, who are indeed generally just have the same ingredients as lagers and therefore not has many shades to save the strength behind. XS is a lovely malty beer that starts with a good malt profile, becoming the sharp alcohol embossed warming taste, which a sweetish taste reveals the addition of saccharine, but saved at the finish line of a reasonable non-dominant hoppy bitterness.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a clear darker golden color, topped with a relatively small white head. Malty aroma, slightly smelly and obvious alcohol aroma. Taste is similar, malty and sweet but with a pretty obvious alcohol presence, unpleasant, medium bitterness. Alcohol is too obvious to be enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Una lager strong davvero forte. Nove gradi si sentono soprattutto al palato quando la consistenza dei malti è notevole al cospetto dei luppoli.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from All 4U, St Julian, Malta. Poured clear medium amber with a think broken white head and a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light caramel, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, light sweet, with a big malt burning alcohol, medicinal palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a great beer, but i’ve tasted much worse and plenty worse from Cisk themselves.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Flaska. Klar guldfärgad med medelstort vitt skum. Säd och malt i doften. Smakinslag av malt, vitt socker och säd. Alkoholen kraftigt påträngande. Inte odrickbar, men heller inte angenäm.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from the local Supermarche in Malta. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet grainy euro strong nose, light alcohol, dough and cereal. The taste is sweet, grassy bitterness, doughy, cereal and grain with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I am upraised this actually has decent bitterness to it which carries the sweet body a bit. Good for this style.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, skunk and cheap malt. Sweet flavour of malt and yeast, complemented by heavy bitter notes of alcohol (and to some extent hops). Lingering alcohol presence. Bitter finish. I don’t like this beer style and I don’t like this particular beer, either. Still, I have tasted worse SPLs.
