Tate is roasted malts, coffee, bakers coco, licorice, dark fruits, vanilla, and al little ash. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, medium long finish. 22 oz bomber into a DFH glass. Pours a pitch black with a dark mocha head. Nice level of lacing and retention. Nose is huge on the coffee. When it’s cold it leans towards dry cocoa powder but as it warms up it transforms into rich milk chocolate. Touch of roast and vanilla. Taste is cold pressed coffee and rich chocolate. A little roasted malts, but that’s basically it. It doesn’t need to be complex or layered though, this is delicious. Aftertaste is vanilla rich bitter coffee.Mouth feel is full and creamy. Very impressive beer.

22 ounce bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Nice looking pour with big tan head. Coffee and some molasses. Nice chocolate finish. Body is not as big as I’d expect from the ABV.
