COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A heavy strong stout brewed with coffee, brown sugar and oats. With its powerful quality and morning ingredients it seems parallel to a solid dawn session at Blacks. An inside connection to boutique roasted fare trade beans we were granted the opportunity to make this exceptional brew.

Bomber with Z....pours a dark black color with a beautiful java chocolate mocha head. Nose is malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is rich chocolate and coffee, malt and smooth and velvety. Finish is sweet and ends on the same tasting notes. Another nice beer from yet another California microbrewery. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Pitch black color with compact brownish head. Strong aroma of coffee and resiny hops. Thick mouthfeel; strong flavor of roasted malts and some coffee, not too ashy, with moderate residual sweetness and the hop qualities mostly hidden; strong bitterness. There is some lactose in the final.
Quite decent, but if you fancy coffee brews.

Bottle shared with drsordr. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, black coffee, some mild oatmeal sweetness, a splash of brown sugar, caramel, smooth mouth feel. Not quite a 4, but solid nonetheless.

@Basunen: doft och smak av kaffe. Ganska len och smidig vätska. Helt och, lite småmysig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16.9 ounce bottle. Served in a Great Lakes Brewing goblet, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stayed around for a long time. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and some vanilla. The taste is mostly like the aroma, but there’s the addition of some brown sugar and some burnt/charred malt. I think it’s a mostly roasty tasting stout, but with a nice amount of sweetness, too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and coating with moderate carbonation. I think it’s a good brew, I wouldn’t mind trying this again in the future. It’s the first Cismontane beer I’ve tried, so I’ll have to try some of their other ones soon. $5.19 a bottle.

My main concern was this beer it that it seemed a bit flat times. The flavor had both chocolate and coffee, and some hops alternating throughout. Pretty good.
