This beer was formerly known as "Cismontane California Common Pilot #1"

The California Common almost disappeared after prohibition as did the term Cismontane. Our interpretation of this style is a golden warm fermented lager with sufficient hop aroma. As a brewer and citizen of Cismontane California it is our obligation to produce a fine California Common.

Not a fan of this. The hops are overpowering for this style and the wrong type. A plastic aftertaste. I didnít finish the bottle.

Pour is a cloudy copper with a small white head. Aroma is a decent bready malt with some notes of caramel. Flavor is a thin malt with a little vegetal which is not horrible just kind of odd. Finish is super dry with a clean almost non-existent remnant of anything left behind after the swallow. This was fine, nothing off about the beer it was just a little thin all around.

Bomber from Delhi Liquor Store, tasted on January 1, 2016. Very hazy orange/yellow hue, somewhat tart sweet bready aroma, tart bittersweet flavor flavor with some bready character and some astringency. Interesting, but not like any other beer of this style Iíve ever had.

22 Oz bottle poured. Pours a bright orange color with almost no head. So these guys are from Rancho Santa Margarita. That even a real place? The answer is yes, I confirmed it on urban dictionary. Heavy yeast profile aroma. Flavor is light grassy, and big fruit. Easy drinking lager for sure. Pretty good stuff.

On tap at the Beer Baron. It pours a pale golden color with a white head. The aroma has some lemongrass, pale malt, straw and crackers with light breadiness. The flavor is delicate with some florals, lightly sweet pale malts and medium acidity with a bit of earth and lemongrass. Lemon and orange fruit. Solid earthy/floral bitterness. Really tasty and subtly complex. Very good.

Sample at the Fat Heads Tap Takeover at Kraft House No. 5 on 07/30/2015. Clear copper-orange color with a medium white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, bready malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at SB. Pours a hazy dark amber with a loose and wispy whitish head. Caramel nose, some biscuit and maybe a bit of grass. Creamy medium body with flabby carb, body goes a bit watery in spots. Lightly toasted caramel with some grass and biscuit on the mid palate. Fairly indistinct flavor profile. Mild finish.
