COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the coulter big cone pine tree is a well balanced I.P.A. It brings the style of I.P.A. back to its roots. Brewed with a hint of rye for head retention and a deeper malt character, this brew has the best of all worlds, great hop aroma, a strong body and deceiving strength.

Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Very light airy palate, light as a feather! Light malt base, mildly sweet. Lovely hops - minty pine, whispers of skunk and lime. Mild hop spice. Finishes airy and light. Lovely balance of hop flavours and so light and drinkable.

Cloudy light amber color with generous frothy head. Light malt and hop, not impressive. Smooth, lean body, with elegant light sweetness, good malt, salty feeling, strong bitterness, nice fruity and resiny touch.
Nice but could be fresher.

(Draught) Pours a clear orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, caramel, grain, and citrus. Flavor of orange, caramel, mango, and grapefruit with a bitter finish.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours clear copper with a foamy frothy off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit and resin. Med body or better. Flavor is a soft malt backbone with a decent load of grapefruit and resin. Sort of on the road to NW, but not too close. The rye is perceptible and the hop is very nice. If it’s time for IPA, this could be a good choice.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear amber-gold with a frothy white head. The nose has ripe citrus, melon, orange. Medium sweet flavor with piney bitterness, dry pale malts, mango, grapefruit, orange rind, medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further piney bitterness, some toasted grass and grain, light dry caramel, bread. Not bad.

A: The beer pours a slightly clouded orange-yellow-amber color with a finger of white head. S: Starts off with quite a bit of fruit to the nose. Lots of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Really like that combination of descriptors, but the bread and malt fills in the back end, unfortunately. T: Grapefruit up front with quite a bit of lemon and orange peel. There’s some mild breadiness and caramel, but a pretty sharp alcohol and perfume character that is fairly off-putting to me. M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation. D: This one started off nice enough but it pretty quickly became too harsh for my liking.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average to large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy & hop aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, floral notes, ghrapefruit zest and light mint. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish.

Bottle split at Leightons cloud house, thanks to Foigus, 02/09/14. Lightly hazed golden with a well appointed off white covering that retains. Nose is light plastic, bitter orange, pale malt, straw, tangerine. Taste comprises citric sherbets, grass, earthy hops, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Plastic burps ensued. So so - the plastic nose lets this one down and the hops were pretty limited.
