Sampled both the cask and regular versions. Preferred the cask. It rounded out the rough edges. Kind of harsh for a citra centric beer. Piney and bitter

(Growler) Pours a cloudy golden orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of grain, mustiness, pine, and grass. Flavor of grain, pine, orange, and grass with a bitter finish.

On tap. Pours with an off-white head and a hazed bronze body. Aromas of brown sugar, pine, strawberry and tangerine. Flavors are a bit sweet, brown sugar, columbus?, pine, citrus and tropical fruit. Table sugar (reminds me of an early, all extract homebrew). Messy. Medium bubbles. Not super dry.

I had this on tap at Cismontane Brewing. This is a hoppy beer with some decent balance.

Tap at Naja’s. Pours hazy copper with an average, fizzy cream colored head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel), heavy hops (floral, grassy, pine), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of brown sugar. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, straw, toasted, meal), heavy hops (floral, grassy, pine, spicy), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of alcohol and peach. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation, low creaminess with a dry and biting finish.
