2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
A: The pour is nice. Golden orange in color with a large white head, mild lacing to go with it.
S: Starts off alright on the nose. Wheat and bread with some light spice notes, though it’s more pepper than clove. However, the smell quickly shifts to hot dogs and lemon peel. Not good.
T: The flavor is rater bitter for a hefeweizen. A moderate wheat bread flavor and very faint banana. It doesn’t have the hot dog flavor, but there is some lemongrass that isn’t very nice.
M: Medium in body with a smooth, medium carbonation.
O: The nose killed this before it had a chance. The flavor wasn’t horrendous, but not good, either.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy light yellow. Big spicy, clove aroma that you can smell for days. Pretty chewy as well. Lot of grainy taste to this. To me it is a sipper of a hefeweizen.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pours with a hazed yellow body and a white head. Strong aroma of raw bananas, vanilla. Light grainy and slightly toasty malt notes, hazelnut. The esters are all there, but very light on the typical hefe phenols. Flavors of bread, grainy, wheat, estery with further hints of banana and vanilla. Lively bubbles (mouthfeel feels a bit like seltzer water), minerals. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I had this on tap at the Cismontane release party for this beer.
It pours a very cloudy dark yellow/gold, much like an unfiltered apple cider. The aroma is of banana & cloves. The flavor is *very* dry and finishes a bit tangy, almost like a sauvignon blanc. At first the flavor surprised me, it’s not like a hefe at all, so it may need to have it’s style changed.
