Oktoberfest in June...sure. Copper pour with an off-white head. Sweet bread and toasted malt nose. A hint of sugar, some floral and spicy hops, and hints of yeast. Kind of bitter for an (old) Oktoberfest. Grassy, spicy, and floral hops. Sweet bread and toasted malt, hints of caramel, and some yeast and light esters.

On tap at BAM Fest. Pours with a clear bronze hued body with a small, just off-white head. Aromas are nutty, maple, toasty and pretty clean otherwise. A touch earthy. Flavors are bitter and a bit more hoppy than I was expecting. Nutty, earthy, herbal. Lightly toasty. Lower carbonation and body.

On tap at Four Points Sheraton by LAX. I’m not 100% sure this is the Cismontane Oktoberfest I drank, but since the bartender mentioned the one I had was brewed with buckwheat, I am pretty sure this is the one I had. The pour is a transparent amber color. The hops in this beer are a little more pronounced than the malts. It has the typical Oktoberfest flavor that I cannot quite put words to. Overall it is really good and really fresh. Of the five Oktoberfest’s I’ve had this year, this is the best one.

A really solid offering. Pours copper in color. Very drinkable. Good amount of malt that isn’t too sugary sweet. Good food beer.

16oz Draught at Congregation Ale House, Long Beach. Weak tea color with thin, persistent head and thin but sticky lacing. Roast malt and a little garbage funk bacterial aroma that is all good. Salty taste. Nice, soft palate with a later bitter finish. Could drink a lot.

On tap at Cismontane, this is dark golden pour with moderate sweetness. I had it both regular and cask
