I had this on draft at Cismontane Brewing in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. This clear copper pour had a nice smokey aroma which complemented its smokey flavor. There was a touch of hoppiness too. It was kind of like a smokey pale ale.

Sampled on draft at the Bruery Provisions store. It pours amber with a lasting off white head. The aroma is powerful with smoky bacon and campfire. The flavor is also intensely smoky and meaty with hints of cherry and butter. The butteriness throws it off a bit for me, but it has nice smoke.

A red tinted brown with a small off-white head. Quite heavy on the smoke with lots of malt underneath. Caramel, toffee, and a touch of butterscotch. A good toasted malt aroma, too. The smoke is fairly strong on the palate, a bit moreso than the aroma would indicate. Some sweetness of malt along with a soft saltiness and a little bit of toast.
