COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled 330ml. -from Pam supermarket Trieste. Murky brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, dusty yeasty nose. Moderate malty, caramel, acidic yeasty and dried fruits with hint of spices in the finish. Really nothing special here.

Ogi & Maja’s bottle, shared with me (thanks!).
Poured a murky brown body with an off white head. Sourish dusty yeasty aroma. Ok, not promising... Sour, meaty malty taste, vague raisins, sweet-sour interplay, but bordering on offensive with notes of plastic both in aroma and taste - certainly ruined. The beer might be a hit & miss, but this reeked of yet another overpriced Italian beer ruined by crappy refermentation in the bottle and poor handling. I WILL, however, try to get it again, as, looking at the other ratings, it seems that when it’s good, it’s very good. What I just drank doesn’t deserve a digit over 2.2.

Geiserich (3265) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 3, 2013
Bottle: Sourly, light roasty, malty and light sweet aroma. Flavor is malty, alcoholic, few fruitiness, few bitterness. Few character and too much acid.

Bottled, 0.33l. Hazy pale brown color with thick creamy tan-like head and yeast residue that don’t want to settle down easily. Aroma of caramel, dark and tropical fruits, yeast, mild roast, alcohol and candy sugar. Taste starts sweet and sour fruity, then followed by spicy malt and refreshing vinous sourness. Mouthfeel is warm, while finish is somehow metallic bitter with irony and spicy aftertaste. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. It might have some flaws, but I found it very attractive...

Very sweet and sour beer, a bit too sweet for me.. Aroma: caramel, hay, citrus, herbs, banana, raisin, vanilla, with a long aftertaste. Nice but not convincing enough..

Bottle, brought back from Italy by a friend. Murky brown pour, lots of frothy off white head. Aroma has a lot of tart notes to it - strawberries mostly, fresh fruit, belgian yeast and something a bit funky too. Taste is sweet at first, but finishes quite acidic actually especially for the style. Palate is medium to full bodied, with moderate carbonation. They were on a good track when they made this beer, but it has some flaws I had a hard time getting over.

Cloudy amber with a small white head. Malty aroma with complex vineous dried fruit notes. Sweet fruity and malty flavour.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours cloudy amber with a off white bubbly head. Nose is fruit and caramel. Quite vinous nose and flavor. Full bodied. Nice
