Sweet and kindof creamy. Not a bad oktoberfest.

Can: Amber, fairly clear, moderate to large foamy off-white head, spotty lacing, low carbonation.   Stale malt aroma, slight pale fruit skin.   Pale malt flavors, a little biscuit, slight mustiness.   Might be some wet cardboard, just a smidgen.   Decent amount of sweetness.   The fruit aspect appears to be Pear skin.   Very soft biscuit and mustiness.   Held together fairly well for the 2 or 3 years I have had this in my cellar.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Gotta say that I enjoyed this one.   Light, a little fruity, with low to nil hop aspect and a decent malt base.

I’m actually shocked to find out that this is all malt. Pours a light orange color with a small head. The aroma is lightly hoppy but generally there isn’t much aroma at all. The flavor is malty and lightly vegetal, I thought corny, which seemed obvious but huh.... I guess I was off there. There is a nice light hoppiness to this as well.

Courtesy of Skyview. Light copper color with a medium head. Slighly soaked grain aroma, a bit of cardboard and old hops. Astringent, weak grain flavor. Rotten corn. Sweet caramel. Some kind of bizzare marshmallow thing going on.

Can, thanks Ughsmash! Pours clear and surprisingly light amber-orange with a thick and lacy off-white head. Toffee nose with a touch of grass. Overly sweet taste for a marzen, and not as dry on the finish as I would like. Seems like they sort of tried to substitute a bit more on the hops for a lack of malt complexity. I’m in the "it’s all about the malt" camp for marzens. American brewers can do it, this one just doesn’t.

Picked up a six-pack of 12-oz aluminum cans at Festival Foods in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light copper brew with a thick creamy white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white film top with some spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, grassy hops, and a touch of toffee. Taste is sweet, medium bodied, and some light carbonation with flavors of sweet caramel malt, a touch of marshmallow and wintergreen. Finish is mostly sweetened caramel with a touch of candi sugar and grassy hops after the finish. It’s interesting.

Stickly sweet malt flavors dominate this beer. Smells completely unremarkable. The flavor is very very one-sided in the worst way possible. I’ll take 30 of the "worst" hopbombs in existence before another of these. 6 Festbiers was enough.

A slightly better than everage Marzen. Aroma of stale malt and caramel. Pour was a flat orange with no head. Taste was slightly carbonated with a strong caramel taste and malt in the aftertaste. Very thin and wet. Not bad for this style but the taste is kind of flat amd one sided

I really like this beer. It’s overall on the more mild side of Oktoberfest beers, but it’s got a smooth taste and finish to it. The price also helps too. I’ve found it for $10 for a case of bottles.
