Weak beef. Not much but some honey flavor. It was tasty when I was 18-19 because I had no appreciation for good beer and went cheap.

Good beer for the price. Krausening gives a nice mouthfeel. Consistency has been a problem with typically a third of beers in a 30pk having a metal flavor.

The best beer available in a can. Period. For an American pale lager, this beer has a lot of complexity. For the price, there is no better beer out there. Nice balance of malt and hops. Smooth finish that satisfies. Body is very good for an American lager. Color is pale yellow with a hint of orange.
My search for a staple beer is over, and this is it. For the money, nothing beats it.

This is the kind of beer your father or grandfather drank if you were 10 years old in 1965! Typical American lager. Fluffy head, medium yellow, nice steady carbonation. Not much "nose" to speak of, but what is there leans more towards the hop. Nice, smooth body with a light malt flavor, and a bit of a "yeasty" touch to it as well. The hops are certainly there, but blend in harmoniously rather than being too assertive or too weak. This beer is what it is. Itís not going to win any major awards at a World Beer Tasting Championship, but for having a few brewskiís with some peanuts or a hot dog at the game, thisíll fit rather nicely!

Sampled on draught at the ABR 07 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leave behind a white ring and no lacing. Aroma of light bready malt, a touch of lemon citrus zest and even a hint of honey. Taste is light bodied, well carbonated, smooth with a bready malt and citrus hop flavor. Finish has a slight bitter taste at first and then crisp and clean cut. This definately reminds me of the original Heilemanís Old Style beer of the 1980s.
