1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2006
Pretty much like carbonated water in taste. A very, vary pale yellow with steady beading and a pillowy white head that does linger. Slightly sour, bitter finish wherein a trace of sweet malt makes its presence known. Water’s cheaper.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Festival Foods in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Pours a clear, light straw blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates clean with a thin ring. Aroma of light multi-grain malt, grassy hops and a touch of vegetables. Taste is very light bodied, well-carbonated with hardly no flavor except a thin malt and grassy hop taste. Finish is clean cut, crisp and no bitterness. Just your average run of the mill light, watered down beer.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dogbrick (4829) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 17, 2005
Courtesy of Vinny’s at the La Crosse airport. Sickly light yellow color with tiny bubbles and a thin white head that was gone fast. Minimal lacing. Faint hops aroma and not much else. Light and clean body without a lot of flavor but very refreshing and easy to drink. Light bitterness makes this beer a lot better tasting than it looks or smells. The finish is also clean and relatively flavorless aside from a light malt sweetness. Non-threatening and straightforward Light beer.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 heemer77 (4792) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - FEB 2, 2004
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2008 The body is pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma has some corn and chipped beef gravy. A strange smell, indeed. The taste is grainy with some corn and a bit of metal in the aftertaste. This is not bad for a light mass made pale lager.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JAN 4, 2007
Draft at George’s in Iowa City, IA. Clear golden color with rapidly disappearing bubbly white head that didn’t (and was probably never designed to) leave any lace on the glass. Smelled mostly of hay and light sprucy hops. Occasionally you get a whiff of the rediculously small amount of malted barley they used to brew it; almost like it desperately wants to be a good beer. Watery mouth feel. Dry on the tongue with a light grainy flavor. Tastes and smells like a once proud beer diluted 4:1 with club soda.

This is a top-rate light beer. There is some very light hop flavor and apple aroma. When cold, nothing offensive about it. Standard appearance and light palate.

Hint of hops aroma, pale yellow, smallish head. Mild taste of malt, light bodied, ordinaire.

From the can. This was not tasty, not decent and not good. No bitterness, wasn’t very clean tasting and it was fizzy. I don’t understand why these watered down beers exist, especially when they’re offensive. Meh.

Various samples from a 30-pack. My housemates had this waiting for me when I moved back in for winter quarter, proclaiming that they had found a 30-pack that is cheaper than Natty Light... um this probably isnt a good thing. Even they had reserved looks on their faces as they said it. Well, it seems that a 30-pack of La Crosse is like a box of chocolates: you never know what you are going to get. Is this one going to taste like Red Bull, seltzer water, or will it have a slight resemblance to beer? This beer scares that crap out of me. At least every Natty tastes exactly the same
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Dorwart (2160) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 2, 2007
Thin white head of fine bubbles. Light carbonation. Bready malt aroma with some light hops and corn flakes. Color is a light gold. Basically non existent flavor. Very light and fizzy. Whatever is in there makes the mouth salivate though. Kind of fruity. Very refreshing. Finishes clean and slight dry and bitter. Little lingering bready malts again. Ok for a lite beer.
