3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tombyars (1210) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2012
Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2012. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale straw in colour with a slight green tint and a thin white head. Pleasant floral aroma with notes of elderflower lingering long in the nose. Poor lacing throughout. Thin but clean, refreshing mouthfeel. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with sweet notes of light toffee and clear honey evident. Fresh floral green hops present in the dusty bitter aftertaste. The finish is rather light with delicate fruit notes of syrupy lychees and peaches, sweet in the mouth. A decent ESB but does taste far weaker than the ABV suggests. Well recommended - especially on a warm summers day.

Very suprised to find this bottle in a shop located in North East Lincolnshire (Cleethorpes to be exact).
The original review has been lost on the BA site somehow, so this is a quick check of my memory.
Average throughout, I was disappointed with it to be honest. I’ll review it again if i ever come across it, honest!
