This outlaw of an imperial IPA was brewed with Centennial, Columbus, Warrior, & Magnum hops (6 hop additions at 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 & 0 min in addition to dry hopping). The malt backbone lends this beer an amber hue & nicely balances the onslaught of the hops. Approach with caution!

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2012 Nicely hopped. Growler from brewery, batch 1. There is a vegetal quality to this, both in the nose and on the palate which I find distracting. However, the drink ability and long bitter aftertaste make this a great first effort! Note: batch 2 even better!

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange-amber pour with white head, aroma brought notes of pine, orange, grass, hints of earth, some caramel, pretty non descript. Taste is a mix of grass, pine, earth, dank notes hints of grain, biscuit, bread, finishing bitter, dry.

Clear amber with a thin sticky white head. Aroma is dank and hoppy but also with a whole lot of caramel tones. But earthy resinous hops claim the dominance of the nose. Flavor is bitter and resinous with a little grapefruit rind and pine, and with enough caramel malt to hold it up, but not so much that the strong bitterness is diminished.

Draft at Taps (Fort Collins). Amber and hazy with a light tan head. Citrus fruity hoppy aroma, light floral. Medium body with a smooth dry feel. Bitter floral piney flavor, light malts, dry lingering finish. Pretty good.

The Dead or Alive Double IPA has a fantastic finish. Smooth for a 110 IBU and an aroma that begs to have another. The taste is light with a deep after taste which leaves me wanting another sip.

On tap at City Star poured a hazy orange amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, orange zest, pink grapefruit and light pine. Palate was mediuym bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, orange zest, pink grapefuit and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.
