On draft at brewpub. Pours black with very little head. Oily mouthfeel. Lots of roasted malt flavors. Decent enough stout that paired well with the food we had with it.

On tap at City Steam. Jet black with dense tan head and nice lacing. Hint of roasty nose. Some burnt, some malt with dry roast finish that hangs on. Decent.

an offering 16 times the size of a danish pour. rich and thick, pretty roasty for a sweet stout. The nitro is strong and gives it that great european head. Ashy finish, a full bodied beer for lowish ABV

Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. roasted malts, coffee, medium sweetness, and faint vanilla. Good, not great.

Comes to the table a solid black with a small tan head that seems perpetual. Smells of caramel coffee and a hint of chocolate. Little if any hop is present in the aroma. The flavor is roasty with coffee and burnt sugar with just a hint of chocolate and a light fruity tartness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick sweet mouthfeel. Good stout, but lacking something that I can’t quite put my finger on. Needs a bit more creaminess in the mouthfeel for an oatmeal stout too.

Tap at the brewpub. Deep cola pour with a frothy head. Roast oat aroma. Taste is a bit lower on character than the aroma. Not bad.

Tap. Near black with one finger head. Dry oatmeal stout with chocolate malt. Smooth.

On draught at the restaurant, served on nitro. Pours dark brown, opaque, with a creamy 2-finger head with nice retention. Aromas of caramel, toffee, maybe some cherry. The flavor is roasty chocolate and light coffee, sweet initially, moving to a lightly bitter finish with flaked oatmeal. Creamy and smooth. This is pretty nice.

Draft. Typical color. Ok , thin tan head. Light spider web lace. Nose is mostly roasted malt, light coffee. Body is very light. Easy going simple, striaght forward stout. The brewers example of a dry stout. no flaws. Decent. Sweet stout??? I don’t get sweetness much at all.
