On draught at the restaurant, served on nitro. Pours dark brown, opaque, with a creamy 2-finger head with nice retention. Aromas of caramel, toffee, maybe some cherry. The flavor is roasty chocolate and light coffee, sweet initially, moving to a lightly bitter finish with flaked oatmeal. Creamy and smooth. This is pretty nice. [1031]

Pours black with a medium cream head. Moderate body, nutty and malt with heavy oatmeal and a bit of alcohol. Short and dry finish. Guiness like

Draft. Typical color. Ok , thin tan head. Light spider web lace. Nose is mostly roasted malt, light coffee. Body is very light. Easy going simple, striaght forward stout. The brewers example of a dry stout. no flaws. Decent. Sweet stout??? I don’t get sweetness much at all.

On tap in a shaker. Pours black with a small, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light oatmeal and dark chocolate notes, and floral hops. Flavor the same, and there could be more oatmeal to it. Smooth texture. A decent beer.

Dark black. 1+ inch head easy. Lasts as long as you need it to. Heavy lacing. Boxy, woody, caramel malt aroma. Caramel and roasted malt flavor. Nice hoppy finish. A satisfying stout to finish.

Deep black pour with a creamy tan head. The nose is nicely chocolatey with a bit of sweet cocoaish roast. The palate is pretty base, consisting of dark roasted malt and pale malt mostly. A little bit of herbal/spicy hops and a light cola-ish character on the back.

Tap @ the pub. Deep brown color with a tan head. Coffee aroma and flavor. Dry fairly bitter finish. Light and one dimensional.

On tap at City Steam. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt. Flavor of coffee, roasted nuts, roasted malt. Very light bodied, almost like a Schwartzbier. Nice and pretty tasty. Definitely must be a new batch/recipe because I don’t understand why the beer I had would get such low scores.

Tap. Aroma roasty with milky coffee. Flavor has a silky, milky sweetness and some nuttiness (almond?). Lighter bodied, but not in a lacking way, in a nice to quaff way. I have to think something has changed with this one because I can’t imagine the beer I had getting 3 sub-3’s in a row.
