Pale golden-straw coloured beer with a creamy white head. The nose is pretty rough. Very cidery with a distinct smell of diacetyl and DMS. Quite a lot of apple and higher alcohols as well. A touch of honey and sweet doughy pale malt. I’m not a fan of this one.

Drinking milk in a country mortuary...Emptiness, silence, a gust of grainy wind...And then Uncle Bob brings the case of Bud to ease the pain...Ugh...

On draught at the brewpub. Pours gold with a white lasting head. Smells of biscuits, some wildflowers, hints of fruit, some pepper. Tastes very malty with some nice dry notes. Good for the style.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Relatively clean, grainy malts, low bitterness, low sweetness, and quite drinkable. Pretty good.

Husky, grainy aroma. Clear, golden blonde with thin, white, fully diminishing head. Mild cereal and sweet lemon meringue-like citrus. Light and watery and low in carbonation. On tap at the brewpub with DYCSoccer17, MartinT and Rastacouere.

A perfumy, lightly chemical lager aroma with light orange and talcum powder notes. Pale yellow and clear. Fairly sweet, not very edgy, and somewhat starchy (as I found many of their brews.) A bit of fruity hopping. Finish starts to build after a while.

Tap @ the pub. Clear light golden color with a white head. Very light all around. Light malt, light earthy hop. Mildly bitter and semi-dry.

On draught at the brewery, 4/13/05. Hazy white-gold color, but still quite bright and pleasant looking. Large white head is slowly dissipating to cover, with plenty of lace. Smells of crisp yeast, fresh, floral hops and honey, with a hint of earthiness. Flavor, from the start, integrates the crisp lager yeast, pilsener malt and rustic hops well, with no wateriness and a good medium body. A touch of graininess on the end, mild astringency, but overall a true, if somewhat light, flavor. Some notes of saaz perhaps, with a touch of oranges. Mouthfeel is bubbly and sharp at times, but nothing out of style. I really enjoyed this one, yet it is such a challenging style to brew and even a well-made, enjoyable brew like this does not begin to measure up to the better examples of this style, IMHO.

Clear, yellow, white head lasts a few minutes. Light lacing. Aroma of light, sweet malt. Medium bite. Pale, leafy sugary taste. Thick finish.
