COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strange, complex, bitter-sweet STRONG BELGIAN STYLE ALE. Brewed using an authentic strain of Trappist yeast. 18 Plato, served in a brandy glass to better capture the lovely aroma.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours brown/mahogany and clear with a white head. Smells of light spice, earthy, some residual sugar. Tastes spicy and semi sweet with an earthy finish.

on tap-pours amber with a retaining offwhite head. Aroma is rock candy, spice, medium malt-caramel, perfumy. Taste is medium malt-peat/caramel, perfumy/spice biting hops.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. The obvious winner of the product line tonight. It seems almost everyone is doing this style now. Three yeats. Grapefruit colour, some lace. Candi sugar. Interesting complexity and balance between the hops and the yeast. Above Average mouthfeel from Some creaminess from the yeast.
