Bottle. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Very good brew.

Bottle. Hazy dark amber color, thick off white head, solid lacing. Aroma of fragrant and floral pine. Taste is very bitter pine resin, too bitter for me.

Cletus (6329) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 3, 2007
Pours copper with a thin white film. Smells of citrus and biscuitty malt with some doughy yeast. Tastes of sweet malt, some citrussy air freshener like qualities and a bitter peppery finish.

Draft. Pours golden orange with a thin white head. Fruity and lightly citric, light yeasty notes, and light malty sweetness. Relatively balanced and drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear orange pour with a clingy head. Floral hops, somewhat unbalanced. Just okay for me.

Draft at the brewpub. Reddish tinged amber beer. Drinks with a metallic hoppiness, finishing with that funky, mushiness you get in some homebrews. Improves as it warms, but my least favorite here so far. (#4902, 1/14/2013)

kramer (4688) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body with a decent one finger frothy beige head that had pretty nice retention. The nose is way too heavy on the crystal malt for my tastes, very sweet smelling with some resiny piney hops. The flavor confirms the heavy crystal malt as well, the malt is so heavy and sweet it takes away from the moderate bitter resiny hops. Lingering finish of instant iced tea and brash bitter hops. Medium bodied with a clingy stickiness and resiny sticky hops. Moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. This is exactly what I donít want from an IPA.

Easily the best of the five weak beers I had here. Nose is very very faint, just some hints of citrus. Dark orange, little head. Good malty-fruity (lemon-lime) flavor, though, with some biscuity character that really gives it some depth. Very sharp at the end, but drinkable.

This was OK, but if I'm in Hartford again I'm going to visit the Mark Twain House, not this crappy brewpub.

Pours deep hazy amber into a Sam glass. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Sour caramel aromas. Medium bodied with stale caramel upfront turning to nutty bread before the lasting bitter earth finish.
