Just as the name suggests, you don’t want to anger this beast of a beer. Lunatic is the first handcrafted batch put together solely by our Assistant Brewmaster, Andrew. He did not disappoint! This is a ale drinker’s ale, guaranteed to put some hair on your chest. (Sorry, ladies.) If Chuck Norris could cry, his tears would be made of Lunatic. Technically an American Strong Ale, this beer finishes as a cross between a barley wine and a triple IPA. You may not be used to enjoying this quantity of hops from such a dark and robust ale, but trust us- it’s worth the price of admissions. 22 degrees plato, served in a snifter.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub. Dark, deep, red and still, with a fuzzy (not fizzy) head. Stark alcohol-laden malt sipper with a definite caramel tilt and a varnish-like hoppy top-off. Rich but very drinkable. (#4901, 1/14/2013)
