Sunset in color, brewed with a combination of pale and crystal malts, London yeast, and a variety of traditional English hops for a spicy, slightly bittersweet finish and a wonderful fruity and flowery aroma. 12.5 degrees P.

Deep amber pour with a small 1 finger head that fades quickly. Aroma is very malty lots of toffee notes and slight hint of spice. Flavor is very 1-dimensional but tasty. Caramel/toffee and very malty. Good be a little better balanced as I donít get a lot from the hops at all. Very easy drinker. For a style I generally donít like this is pretty good. A little to sweet but not bad.

Draft from Monster Bís, Stamford CT. This is the sweetest amber ale Iíve ever tried, caramel, toffee, buttery tastes with notes of cherries. Not great.

Deep amber pour with a 1 finger head when poured into a pint glass--decent lacing. Lots of caramel in the nose and even more in the taste. Very sweet caramel, toffee, and malt with a light bitterness. Simple, but tasty.

Multi-hued copper/light brown color. Small white head. Malty, nutty, sugary aroma. Flavor is the same. Usually I donít like this stuff but this one excels.

Not a bad amber given to me by a coworker who visited CT. Aroma was very nice. Strong caramel and toffee...very full and round. Pour was a nice clear dark amber with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was very full as well. This beer is full of caramel flavor with not much else going on. Very sweet but not cloying. No hops getting in the way of this malt monster. Decent carbonation rounds the beer out. Better as it gets warmer.

Amber with nice, just off-white head. Caramel malt nose. Toasted malt flavor. Overall, a fairly mild brew but well flavored.

ive lived in hartford my whole life and since i started getting into micro beers a few years ago i purposefully didnt go into city steam. i didnt want to think that it was what i thought it was, a bullshit brewpub that makes third rate micro that they wished tasted as good as most macros. this one is one of the more popular brews and it tasted like miller trying to make an irish red. no way its an english pale, or "amber", this is trying to taste like killians
