2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle in Cluj Napoca, Romania. Pretty similar to the last few i’ve rated. Typical grain fare, both nose and taste. This one had an added hint of some herbal spices. Not so bad.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A híres "csíki bír" egyenesen Csíkszeredáról. Minden magyar sörbarátnak érdemes ezért a nedűért Székelyföldre elbarangolnia. Meg hát amúgy is. Különben színe arany, íze enyhén keserű, mely sokáig a kitölti a szájat. Illatában gyógyfüvek leledzenek. Jól el lehet merengeni mellette. Ja és literes kiszerelésben is kapható ám. Komolyan nem értem mi ez az underrate, örülnék, ha itthon is kapható lenne!!!

Bottled, sampled at Bierhaus, Timisoara/Temesvár, Romania.
Clear colden colour, creamy head. Sewer, plug-hole aroma and old flowers. Oily body with thin mouthfeel. No malt or hop features at all. Old plants and stem here. Low bitterness and somwhat papery.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 In short: A salty version of our North-American macros. A notch below boring
How: A few times on tap and bottles when travelling through Romania/Transylvania, because in some small villages this was sometimes the only beer to drink
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is typical bland macro. Taste is a variation of those bland macro beers, which in this case means some kind of high-fructose corn syrup mixed with Seven-Up™. Whatever… The difference here is the many times I had this shitty beer is always seemed salty. Maybe the salt goes away a and blends in for people who drink this beer less fresh outside Romania but coming from someone (me) who had it numerous times on location I can tell you that there is something in the water over there and a fresh Ciuc Premium is abnormally salty. This beer sucks. Drank many of these (unfortunately) while travelling Romania with my Romanian wife. Why did I not marry a Belgian woman again?

Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. A weak malt and hoppy aroma, quite skunky and metallic. Low carbonation with a short bitter finish. Boring.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
0.5l bottle. Tried while in Romania. Aroma is very pungent, with a strange smell to it. Smells kind of like sawdust. It’s not bad though. In appearance it looks like sparkling apple juice. Palate is sharp and a little tangy. Leaves my throat feeling quite dry. Very bitter. Taste is pretty flat though.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
0.5 l can shared with Doggythedog, huge thanks! Poured golden body with smaller head. Malty, mostly dusty nose with some citrus hops and notes of corn besides. Flavor...what is this!? Metallic, soapy, ugly industrial bitter as well. After few sips poor palate gets used to it so some corn becomes evident but it’s strange anyway, ranging between sour, bitter and sweet. Drinkable to some stage, but still with awful bitter finish. How the hell can someone launch such beer I don’t know, obviously they miss someone who will actually try their crap before putting it on the market.
