1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Let me start this by saying this beer is shit. Pours pale yellow with a medium white head and medium retention. This is easily the best part. Aroma of adjunct grains rotten grass and a skunk’s nutsack. Flavor is about the same, except that it is watery, which almost makes it worse. Fuck this beer. Awful.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Surprised by how few rates this had. It was in the cooler section with all of the other European Pilsners. I almost passed it up. Gold pour with very little carbonation. Soapy head. Very weak grassy scent. Watery with a slight oily mouth. Grassy, slightly herby. Overall watery and forgettable.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Canette 500ml.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 2012 update: Golden and bright. Light aroma but the palate has a delicate spicy hop. Hints of malt. Decent, refreshing and relatively dry macro.
Original rating, 2011: Can from a random Eastern Euro grocer in Nicosia. Hazy light yellow. Smells a bit doughy. Low bitterness and vague minty, sugary hops but all told it’s a clean, bland pale lager. Nothing going for it, but nothing wrong with it.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Green bottle. Slight waft of skunk when cap came off. Pours gold with a slight white head. Apparently there wasn’t much skunk cause the nose is bready and grassy. Near med body. Flavor is bready, and there is some grassy/spicy hop. I’d say no skunk at all. Gotta be one of the better pale lagers of East Europe.

Bottle about an hour South of Cluj. Nice standard lager. Easy to drink - mild aftertaste.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle (5% ABV). A clear pale golden beer with an average sized, frothy/fizzy, mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is lightly malty and lightly hoppy, with notes of bread and grass. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, dry finish with almost medium bitterness. Surprisingly not skunky, fairly clean instead, just useless and forgettable.

Very pale straw colour. The aroma is a bit light and slightly worty. Light bodied and a bit of light herbal hops. Quite watery and bland. Meh.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
11.2 oz green twist off bottle. It came covered for the most part in paper and it is pretty fresh (best before 16/08/11) and the store was nice and dark.
It pours a pale gold with a foamy right white head, typical of the style. It has above average lacing though.
The smell is thankfully not skunked, it has a nice bready malt presence and some super grassy hops.
The first thing I noticed was it actually started out pretty full bodied for a pilsener, then it mellowed out with a super dry finish. It has enough flavor, it straddles the line between a generic Euro pale lager and a pilsener. But it is well balanced, the malt is bready and almost papery and the hops have a nice tang, pretty much lime zest, and a surprising bitterness right in the finish. This a noble hop bomb and I like that a ton.
I really like the drinkability and mouthfeel, and that will certainly bump this one up.
