UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Golden lager with a decent head. Very aromatic - although from a nondeScript source, it’s not just the hops.... Quite dry without much hop character. Underlying sweetness. Not that bad - for Romania that is. 290603

Can from Prince International Supermarket, Ashford. Pale gold lasting white head. Some palt malt on the aroma. Some lemon on the flavour. Of all the Polish/Romanian beers I’ve had today this is the best. Really quite drinkable. Decent pils, yes even some noble hop is noticeable on the finish.

Bottle. A clear one, rather pale golden in color and with a small, white head on top. The aroma has a decent dose of hops, as well as lightly bready maltyness. Some fruityness too. Quite decent actually. There’s a metallic touch in the end, a respectable bitternes too, with semi-dry maltyness initially. Medium body, quite dry. A decent one, nothing impressive, but sure drinkable. 120516

Can at home in London - picked up at the Bulgarian/Eastern European shop on Queensway. This beer pours an immaculately clear yellow, mildly effervescent with a fine, creamy white head. The aroma has kicks of ripe lemon and slight rotting citrus, backed by sturdy cereal grains. Medium sweet with pleasant biscuity, bready malts, mild bitter hay, more cereal, a bit of salty sourdough bread, some white pepper. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly crisp and clean on the finish, with more moist cereal, ripe lemon, salty biscuits and sourdough bread. A bit of lightly bitter straw in the aftertaste. Yep, an excellent beer to be drinking at 1am on a Tuesday night (OK, fine, 1am on Wednesday morning).
