1l-PET bottle. Clear golden yellow, large and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Well-balanced beer, perhaps too well-balanced so that it becomes a little boring. Neither very hoppy nor malty but very drinkable.

2011-01-29. Crisp glowing pee yellow body with a small white head. Odd aroma, grainy straw, creamed corn. Flavour is odd, grassy bitterness, bit rough, muted pale malt. Average to light bodied palate. Poor. Fun fact - Romania’s Danube Delta is a World Heritage site and is the second largest delta in the whole of Europe. Bottle from LCBO, Toronto

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, floral hops. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a light bitter and kind of dry finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

11.2 oz green twist off bottle. It came covered for the most part in paper and it is pretty fresh (best before 16/08/11) and the store was nice and dark. It pours a pale gold with a foamy right white head, typical of the style. It has above average lacing though. The smell is thankfully not skunked, it has a nice bready malt presence and some super grassy hops. The first thing I noticed was it actually started out pretty full bodied for a pilsener, then it mellowed out with a super dry finish. It has enough flavor, it straddles the line between a generic Euro pale lager and a pilsener. But it is well balanced, the malt is bready and almost papery and the hops have a nice tang, pretty much lime zest, and a surprising bitterness right in the finish. This a noble hop bomb and I like that a ton. I really like the drinkability and mouthfeel, and that will certainly bump this one up. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-17-2011 03:42:31

Can, shared with TylerDurden for the country tick-- yay Romania! Light golden body, compact white head. Aroma and palate are clean grains, witha crisp dry finish. Nothing off, nothing nasty; a well made lager.

2011-01-29 - shared by jerc & mabel with me and blankboy. 500ml can of likely awesomeness. Scary-looking pour - bubbly clear bright greenish-yellow with a plastic bright white frothy head. Smells like clover, tire fire and raw canola. Taste follows, not as ugly - pvc, ditch water, paper and stale corn. Light, harsh, fizzy, long ugly aftertaste - WHY does crap like this get made? Who buys it? Monkeys?

Can [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a clear pale, pale yellow with a small diminishing white head. Aroma: Yuck! Overly sweet along with garbage, corn & vegetables. Watery flavour is sweet and vegetal. Light bodied. Simply awful.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 In short: A salty version of our North-American macros. A notch below boring
How: A few times on tap and bottles when travelling through Romania/Transylvania, because in some small villages this was sometimes the only beer to drink
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is typical bland macro. Taste is a variation of those bland macro beers, which in this case means some kind of high-fructose corn syrup mixed with Seven-Up™. Whatever… The difference here is the many times I had this shitty beer is always seemed salty. Maybe the salt goes away a and blends in for people who drink this beer less fresh outside Romania but coming from someone (me) who had it numerous times on location I can tell you that there is something in the water over there and a fresh Ciuc Premium is abnormally salty. This beer sucks. Drank many of these (unfortunately) while travelling Romania with my Romanian wife. Why did I not marry a Belgian woman again?
