Bottle in Constanta, Romania, March 2013. Clear, fizzy golden with a bubbly white head. A little corny, minerals and malt aroma. Tastes a little buttery, but just a little. Then mildly bitter. Light body, very carbonated, abrupt finish.

Sweet and bitter with very clean palate. Pale golden color, medium head and body. An Interbrew clone.

1l-PET bottle. Clear golden yellow, large and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Well-balanced beer, perhaps too well-balanced so that it becomes a little boring. Neither very hoppy nor malty but very drinkable.

500 ml can from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear light golden with a small white head. Aroma: Some light grassy hops, grains/cereals, a touch of apple juice, a little resinous hops, touches of bready crust/biscuit maltiness, light but not too bad, particularly for an “Eastern European” lager. Palate: Medium body, medium-light carbonation, a little bit of Pils smoothness. Flav.: Actually a nice blend of light malts and peppery, grassy hops, much better than expected from nose and preconceptions; dry with some bitterness and a light, slightly fruity malt finish.

Exceeded expectations.

500 ml can from LCBO. Pours light golden in colour, head is gone in seconds. Interesting, the first smell and taste is of a really nice euro lager. Grassy and nice bitterness, but... gets ugly as it warms. Now it tastes of creamed corn, same aroma. Almost had me fooled.

Can. Medium gold with a soap sudsy head. Floral, bready and rain water aromas. Refreshing palate. Good fresh bread flavour leads to a solid hop bitterness. Standard but enjoyable.

Green bottle. Slight waft of skunk when cap came off. Pours gold with a slight white head. Apparently there wasn’t much skunk cause the nose is bready and grassy. Near med body. Flavor is bready, and there is some grassy/spicy hop. I’d say no skunk at all. Gotta be one of the better pale lagers of East Europe.

Bottle. Pours very pale golden with a small, fizzy, white film head. Aroma has apples, sweet corn, citrus, light skunky. Medium carbonation, fine dusty and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is kinda sweet, light maize, kinda sharp citric bitterness. A bit watery in the finish.

Thank you cuso fir this one. Classic lager with no surprises. Bit thin and pissy but quite quaffable. Very easy to drink with a bit malg and sugar in the back. Nice.
