Brewed from an original recipe which dates back to 1892, Ciucas beer bears the name of the mountain from which springs it’s most vital ingredient, pure mountain water.

Can shared at Chriso’s for Kenny’s 20K. As ’Brașov Ciucaș, brewed in Brasov, 4.6%. Very pale yellow, clear, small foamy white head, light lacing. Aroma is papery, airy, corn. Body is light, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is paper, dry, peppery, rusk, corn. Basic and drinkable. A bit too papery for my taste.

Can split at Madmitch76 20K tasting, warm up act thanks to Danny, 15/01/16. Pale golden blonde with a decent white covering. Nose is pale malt, grain, lemon rind, grass. Taste comprises much the same, pale malt driven, lightly toasted bread, touch papery. Medium bodied, spritzy to prickly on the tongue @over carbed, semi drying close. Ok for style.

Funny 1 liter plastic bottle that looks like a huge energy drink one.Pale golden without head.Grain aroma.Thin body .Bellow average macro pale lager with a notorious corn presence. Reminds me of the shitty and annoying portuguese macro lagers.

500ml can from Albinuța UK, imported from Romania. Pours golden yellow, smallish white frothy head, settles rather quickly. Grainy, malty aroma and taste. Fairly light, not much bitterness, oily to watery texture. Definitely one of the better lagers from Romania.

Poured from a tall can into a glass to drink. The beer had a clear gold color with an average-sized foamy white head with modest retention, cling and lacing. The aroma had a modest grainy and floral hops character with perhaps a touch of malt. It was a fairly straightforward lager with a blend of grainy hops and a bit of malt. The beer was fairly light with average carbonation and a lighter mouthfeel.
