0,5 l bottle, thanks, Geir Ove. A clammy cardboard flavour is covering every aspiration this beer could have in making the Balkan top ten. Forgettable. But it’s another country, isn’t it?

500ml can. Pale yellow lager with a big white head, low retention and lacing in small chunks. Nose is crisp and light, hops, grassy. Taste is sweet in the beginning with a later hops delicate influence, some vanilla notes, a little floral. Carbonation...well it’s like a sparkling wine, way too much. Light and refreshing, almost like a Kozel but without the Czech hops. Good.

Pale golden colour with short white head. Aroma has fresh notes of malt, bread and a little bit of citrus. Medium body, clear liquid, refreshing lively carbonation.

Typical lager... Not much from taste and aromas. Its worth of its money though if you just want to get drunk.

Canned 500ml. -Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, almost neutral nose (weak weak grainy hint). Not much of taste here, discreet grainy, watery and light metallic with short finish. Typical Romanian pale lager.

Pretty 0,5 L can. Very pale yellow color, like sparkling wine. Light grassy aroma. Taste is metallic, hoppy. Finish is light bitter.

Pale straw. Thin head. Union-made, appley, industrial aroma. Thin with not much taste beyond some vague industrial beer accents, maybe a bit of that acetaldehyde.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Süßlich-getreidiger Antrunk. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,9,8,9 - 8,85

Tall can, such a cheesy one, green with deer on it, made to look like hunters’ beer I guess...pale yellow. The head is fairly stable, and if the color was more attractive it would certainly get a 3. Aroma is almost like a radler or a krystallweizen, is spritzy with some pleasant suble ester and seems clean but bland. Decent, dry, finish in which I even taste some hops. Not nearly as bad as expected!
