Imperial Russian Stout, forte, estrema, pericolosa. Ideale per riscaldare le fredde notti invernali, perfetta per un ottimo BIRRAMISU!!! Una volta provata le altre imperial stout passano in secondo piano....forse la Gonzo(Flying dog) è l’unica che si difende bene.

33 cl bottle from Domus Birrae. Served into a snifter. Pours dark brawn but looks pitch black in the glass, with a light beige head. Lots of big bubbles and good lacing retention. Powerful aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and a bit of liquorice. Soft carbonation, medium body and oily texture. No real trace of alchool, which is pretty surprising for a 10% abv beer, just a pleasent warming sensation in the throat. Very good sipper.

Dark black with no head whatsoever. Chocolate, raisin, sand, mild yeast. Rich sweetness at first but a good bitterness from the hops later on as well. End is a little dusty and not as delicate, hard to describe. (From Bir&Fud)

Nonostante sia poco conosciuta per me è la migliore stout italiana, almeno quella che mi ha impressionato di più con la nuova Turan Sfumatura e la Verdi del Ducato. Aroma e sapore decisi, corposa, intensissima.

Bottle. [thank you CCskou]
Pours deep black with some slight brown edges. Big, creamy, cappucino head that stays for a long time. Nice lacings. Aroma is lovely roasted, vinious (a tad too harsh, perhaps), dark chocolate, light plums and black currants. Low, but fine prickly carbonation, great creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, quite sweet really, light dark chocolate dryness, some hazelnuts. Firm bitterness, slightly piney. Long, lingering chocolate bitterness and sweetness. Good.
